When I was young we use to laugh at the old USSR and their rigged 'elections'. The Communist Party would make all the calls and 'the people' were allowed to rubber stamp those calls. It was never a free election. Same in all hellholes... Saddam was on the ballot but there was no chance his party would elect anyone else to run. The fix is always 'in' with hellholes.

Party elites are NOT the same as 'the people'.

Political parties write rules to give themselves MORE power at the expense of the people. Another hellhole tactic - common among self appointed 'elites'... It's how democrats came up with super delegates. A desire to tip the scale in favor of themselves... It's almost impossible to overcome the advantages the parties (both of 'em) have given themselves.

That's wrong.

It's a disgusting abuse of power and should be brought to the attention of the Supreme Court by groups of citizens from both parties.

His dad was a mailman. He’s a uniter, not a divider. Bake the cupcake!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks Kasich is mentally unstable and really, completely unhinged.

To be completely honest, I could care less about the voter’s will when it comes to the GOP nomination.

We are a country marked by a federal government. I 100% believe in State’s rights and that is how the process is set up. If a State wants to have a very closed system then that is their right.

I fear the ultimate consequence of people believing in the will in the will of the people over the will of the states is growth in executive branch power and a corresponding reduction in state rights.

I used to react favorably when I heard Kasich's name, back when I only knew him by his name and by his GOPe and media-sourced reputation.

But now that he's made me get to know him better, I don't want anything to do with him. He's got this freaker vibe that makes me uneasy.

Look, if I'm being honest, it's not like I'm the most stable, psychologically well-adjusted person either, but just listening to Kasich makes me think I've very sane with a good, solid grip on reality.

I could care less about the voter’s will...

Why go through the expense of elections if elite members of the party pick the candidates? What's the purpose of the charade?

I know the answer...

Do you?
