50% of success is just showing up.
Trump supporters can (and God knows they will) whine about Cruz “stealing” delegates from Trump all they want. But if Trump comes up short, he doesn’t have anyone to blame but himself. He made the conscious decision to not show up.
He has created thousands of jobs and opportunities in this country...How many jobs has Cruz created?????
Trump wins either way.
Well said...
“Trump’s opponents believe in nothing. They are trying to destroy America. They oppose securing the border, protecting our veterans, keeping jobs in America, interrogating terrorists and fighting Jihadists ”
This is the first time that I’ve been told that I stand for all of that. I had no idea that I did. All along, I thought I stood for securing the border, protecting our veterans, keeping jobs in the US and interrogating terrorists and fighting jihadists...
How about not painting Cruz supporters as the devil incarnate? We disagree over who will do the best job, that’s all. All candidates have weaknesses, but I like the fact that Cruz knows the Constitution really well. I’m not convinced that Trump has any understanding of limited government and I don’t want another president who gets his way by signing executive orders.
In a contest between Hillary and Trump, I will vote for Trump with some misgivings. We have to keep Hillary (or Sanders) out of the White House. I would not expect you to be enthusiastic if Cruz wins the nomination, but I would hope that you would vote for him if he does become the nominee. We’re supposed to (more or less) be on the same side. Eventually we have to bury the hatchet.
(posted by Freeper Beautiful Gracious Skies) A prominent aide to George W. Bushs 2000 campaign could barely contain himself when we asked him to discuss Cruz, who worked in the Bush campaigns policy shop. This person described Cruz as hyper-arrogant and widely despised, and he emphasizedover and overthat the pervasive dislike of Cruz within the Bush ranks had nothing to do with ideology. (Cruz, he noted, never objected to Bushs call for compassionate conservatism, immigration reform, and national education standards, and no one on the campaign regarded him as an ideologue.) The problem was simple: Cruzs personality. Ted thought he was an expert on everything, says this campaign veteran, who asked not to be named. He was a smart and talented guy, but completely taken with himself and his own ideas. He would offer up opinions on everything, even matters outside his portfolio. He was a policy guy, but he would push his ideas on campaign strategy. He would send memos on everything to everyone. He would come to meetings where he wasnt invitedand wasnt wanted. In fact, this Bush alum recalls, the quickest way for a meeting to end would be for Ted to come in. People would want out of that meeting. People wouldnt go to a meeting if they knew he would be there. It was his inability to be part of the team. Thats exactly what he was: a big a$$hole. I dont know anyone who had a decent relationship with Cruz. And when Bush became president, his top campaign aides agreed Cruz should not be offered a job in the White House. No one wanted to work with him, this source remembers. George W. Bush couldnt stand the guy. This person adds, Its a real quandary for Bush campaign people: Trump versus Cruz, who to vote for? And it would be a big quandary even if its Cruz versus Hillary Clinton. Thats how much they cannot stand him. by Tim Murphy & David Korn -MJ
Cruz sounds absolutely perfect! This is what we need in a conservative president. Someone who is confident in his abilities and unwilling to back down from a fight. We want someone who will get things done. The problem most people here have with the Republican party is that they're afraid to fight and they roll over anytime they think anyone is going to criticize them.
Trump loses = Hillary wins, and when that happens Republicans will never ever win another election again, the party will be utterly finished not only from voters abandoning the party out of disgust after being backstabbed, but also from Hillary completely changing the demographics over the course of 8 years by allowing the country to be overrun by illegals and Islamo-Nazis. Basically the United States will be finished, enemies of this country will have won. Let’s see if you have a job then and a place to live.
Absolute BS that guy is allowed to run. Natural born means born on US soil, period. Canada is NOT US soil. Why all this crap about Obama being born in Kenya and oh but now it’s a different story? There was no proof Obama was born in Kenya, Cruz on the other hand openly admits he was born in Canada. F that, the guy is disqualified.
TX, OK, KS, ID, WY, UT, OK, AK, IA, ME, WI... seems like a bit more than 7 to me. Care to check your numbers again? And I voted in a caucus, not being a party appartchik? Care to check your false premises again? Caucuses tend to have fewer hours of voting time, they aren't closed to the public. They are meant to encourage discussion among voters present (although it never really happens anymore these days). They do not exclude registered voters... but again, facts are not the strong point among Trump devotees, apparently.
Also note that this list of Cruz wins is decidedly Conservative (before those last 2 at the end), and all of Trump's biggest wins, including his 49.3% top result in MASS, are all in Liberal states.
Cruz has topped 60% three times... and all in Conservative states... and Trump has yet to top 49.3%, even in Liberal states, and the Primary is 2/3 over.
Trump has never been above 47% of the delegates, and has not topped 49.3% anywhere... and yet Trump supporters seem to pretend that he is a runaway favorite. He sin't. His ceiling is 49%, and the past 2 months have proven that conclusively. He also fails to pull in his polling numbers in 2/3 of the states, including some massive failures in KS and ID, where his leads dropped by 31 and 28 points respectively in the last few days before the actual vote.
Lyin’ Trump will be humiliated when he gets 49%, or less, in NY State, even though it’s down to only three candidates.
As long as freeloading free stuff piggies outnumber Americans in this country, I don’t see anything but commie ‘RATS winning from here on out. We’re a single party communist country now. Alexis de Toqueville warned us about this crap. We just didn’t pay attention.

You establishment nominators keep confusing NeverTrump GOPe wins with Cruz wins. Really... ll those existing State party officers, large donors and party faithful that were for the Establishment pick now going for Cruz in primaries designed to keep out outsiders?
Look who is on your side. Then look at the list of solid conservatives for Trump.. Its foolish to assume we are being fooled or are Stupid. So why is it BETTER conservatives the you with more information are supporting Trump over Cruz?
Why is Cruz tanking where the GOPe machine cannot prop him up?
Then again, the media has been known to lie.
Trump will pull over a lot of standard Democrat voters. Cruz will not. According to this article in The Atlantic, Trump appeals to Russian-American Jews:
“Today, shes not a registered Republican, but like many of the readers of her newspaper, she said shes starting to lean toward supporting Donald Trump for president. The other self-styled outsider in the race, though, holds no appeal for her.”

Dream on. You're behind the curve. Ted Cruz's support has collapsed, he's running a distant third behind Kasich throughout the Northeast.
Ted Cruz, who will enter the convention with about half the delegates that Donald Trump has, will not be the GOP nominee under any circumstances.
Donald Trump will either reach 1237 outright or cobble together the remaining delegates he needs.
It's all over but the tears from the Cruz fanboys.
Reality is setting in.
Even if the convention is brokered, it's going to be Donald Trump. If it's not, the GOP will splinter irreparably and be destroyed as a national party. You heard it here first.
All of that has become obvious because of his daily exposure. He’s vile.
Yeah really? Smarmy Ted only got 43% in Texas. And that was with cheating.
How humiliating. LOL
His National polls are in the teens. Cruz should be gone.
