I saw a documentary of the life of North Koreans several years ago. About 1/2 the education system is simply brain washing the population that the US is about to invade. I have wondered since then if the withdrew from S, Korea if the North would collapse because they no longer had an enemy.

So...using the type of logic that many Cruz supporters have been using, Ted Cruz and the Norks are basically the same?

Wouldn’t they claim that they ‘won the war’ and use that as propaganda?

“Trump suggested the U.S. military should withdraw from key allies South Korea and Japan, and both countries could instead arm themselves with nuclear weapons.”
Lie of omission. Trump wants the US to be paid for our services - if the countries don’t want to pay - we walk. They will most likely pay. Trump’s been saying that since 1988.

“Wouldnt they claim that they won the war and use that as propaganda?’
But what do they say when the economy didn’t improve?
Without the US boogeyman they cannot justify starving their population.
Alternately they might decide that since the US wasn’t there they’d try and attack

Good points. It will be interesting. I’ve often wondered if I would see the fall of the Norks in my lifetime.

Nah I think ted pretty much would blow them away if they crossed the line, too
Thing is they are smart enough to not want nukes in the hands of the Japanese or roks because if attacked they just might hit back sooner
