You may have a point. After reading the two books on the climate scam that Mark Steyn has on his site in the bookstore, I cannot tell you how disgusted I am at the so called science establishment.

This site should be named Medscam.

A lot of their information is good and relevant, but this one stood out.

Agreed. I’m still working on it.

Re Katrina. Why does he ignore the fact that people who live in cities which are below sea level may find themselves underwater, that just perhaps money was siphoned off levee construction projects and went to politicians instead particularly since we are talking about Louisiana, that the Mayor could have moved the people in low lying areas out of harm’s way in available buses but chose not to, that anyone living on the Gulf is always susceptible to the ravages of tropical storms and if they don’t want to go through these occasional events you should not live there.

Have worked in the field of mental health for almost 40 years and have yet to meet a psychiatrist who isn’t, IMO, certifiably crazy.

I don’t use any of that sun-stuff. The chemicals ruin my skin - and there’s still a charming thing called a ‘sunbonnet’.

I’ve lived in the same mid-Atlantic county for over six decades. I did notice that the Winters and Springs seemed to be colder in the past few years - and that we’ve been shoveling a lot more ‘Globull Warming’! But, I remember seeing the same thing about 25-30 years ago, after which things calmed down again (I think it’s called a ‘cycle’.)

And - despite all of this ‘climate change’ - I haven’t seen a single difference (again, in many decades) in the sentient Nature around me. All the birds show up and leave ‘on time’, as they’ve always done. The Squirrel-folks get their little white ear-tips ON TIME, and the Groundhog goes in and out of his torpor as he’s always done.

Even the plants are fine: the wildflowers bloom and die ‘on time’ as they, also, always do.

I’d really like to find some of this ‘climate change’; except for the occasional snow, I really like hot weather, and want more of it. But the summers here have been relatively mild during all of the years of the ‘global warming’ craze, compared to what I recall in the early years of my life.

I may not be a scientist, but I’ve been an avid observer of Nature for all of my life; and I’m just not seeing all of this ‘change’ that they keep talking about.

-JT (putting up the Hummer feeder tomorrow; and I expect the little gems to be right ON TIME :-)

To paraphrase Sargon of Akkad’s recent videos, to make people feel guilty for the collective sins of their ancestors is insane, and feeling angry and oppressed for the oppression of your ancestors is equally bad.
He was referring to social justice, but it is equally applicable here.
To say you should feel guilty for belonging to industrial society or need to be anxious and worried that the world will end because of industrial civilization is a violation of mental health ethics.

I recently brought up to someone that you know the warming stopped when they stopped calling it global warming and called it climate change.

The number of little kids fed eco-guilt is immoral, and now they are pushing “clit lit” (climate change literature) so that they are reading how the world will run out of everything down to water and air in a climate change world, socialism saves us, or we’re all going to die ... so you get pre-teens and teens who think they are evil for existing in an industrialized society and the world ending is their parents’ fault for not recycling or turning off the lights.

One result in the health effects of climate change is that it has given rise to a lot of “quacks”, in a doctor’s uniform or not.

Dr. Peter YellowLies?

Also, this item was written in Marxist climatese, the language of Climax Change hoaxers.

Penn and Teller’s BS show actually had a good episode on global warming a couple of years ago, where they had a 60 second interview with the founder of the weather channel. CO2 went up in a straight line over the past century, temperature went up and down in two distinct curves. If CO2 caused warming, there wouldn’t have been the troughs of low temperatures in the 1950s or 1920s.

It is the view that new is better than old, even though there’s no proof it works and no reason to test it before implementing it.
It is an excess, I think, of the novelty trait AND catering to it.
Then they ignore the new ideas that are really old ideas with new names, and just as bad.

I had to have a talk with my teenager about a global warming lesson she had. They were doing all this for Earth Day / Arbor Day for a week or two, and the lesson that even she got sick of was PE.
Yes, they had global warming lessons in PE, how it will make things hotter so you have to be more alert to heat exhaustion / heat stroke than you parents.

There is also the eco-guilt for the past 40 years that makes many people feel it is immoral to have more than one child.

Gotta' give 'em credit. They just ignore reality, keep on message and keep on lyin'.

Not real credit of course, more like the kind they give a homeless person for turning in an empty plastic soda bottle.
