Colorado GOP Leader to Disgruntled Trump Supporter: Go Ahead and Burn the Party Down

This came in the email today from “James” a disgruntled Colorado Republican voter after the party elites gave all of the state delegates to Senator Ted Cruz.

On Saturday Ted Cruz supporters took all 13 of the delegates up for grabs at the Colorado GOP Convention to complete a clean sweep of the state.

But it was not without controversy. There never was a vote – Party elites decided on who got the delegates.

After Cruz swept the Colorado delegates the Colorado Republican Party tweeted this out:

From James– Included is my letter to the Colorado GOP head and his reply.

Hope this helps expose the diabolical bastards scheming to steal the nomination. Though I told him I live in Colorado I really live in N.J. and I’ll be voting for Trump on June 7th, it’ll be a landslide victory for “The Donald” here in Garden State, a friggin’ landslide.

"James,

Thank you for your note. Go ahead and burn the party down if that is what it takes to put this country on the right track then I am open to anything."

Unreal....

These hacks are showing their true colors, aren’t they?

Wake up, folks!!

The apparatchiks control the outcome of the elections.....NOT the voters.

the colorado caucus process is a sick, anti-democratic joke. About half a dozen people show up for each precinct caucus, and “elect” people to attend county assemblies and Congressional district assemblies; the county assemblies “elect” people to the state convention. The CD and State assemblies then “elect” delegates, who are supposedly unbound.

A couple thousand people out of a population of 5 million participate.

if all registered republicans actually showed up, there wouldn’t be enough meeting rooms to hold them in the entire state and the caucuses wouldn’t ‘work’. in fact, the GOPe is counting on just a very, very, very few showing up. that’s why the reserved caucus rooms are always so very, very, very tiny.

family members who have children to take care of, meals to prepare, and work to prepare for don’t have time to waste on a meaningless process where party insiders are going to steal the whole thing at the end anyway.

on the other hand, colorado is a mail-in ballot state for ALL elections, so a few hundred thousand would have voted in an actual primary, whereas the caucuses were held on a weeknight when people have to take care of their families and then go to work the next day.

btw, if this is such a wonderful process, shouldn’t all of our elections for everything require everyone to show up at 7pm to 8pm on a Tuesday night in order to vote?

If the GOP “leaders” succeed in preventing Trump from winning the nomination they may not have deep regrets.

But rank and file republicans and conservatives will remember the perfidy of the GOP elites every single day they wake up to president Hillary’s reign of terror.

Of course I’m honest. I have no problem with states determining how their delegates are selected.

You have no problem with Trump getting more delegates than votes in primary states?

Is that ethically, rationally and morally defendable??

Be honest.

I’m being sarcastic here; I don’t question your honesty. The coherency and consistency of your argument, yes; but not your honesty.

“Defiant state party leader.”

Yes, all tyrants are. Hitler, Stalin, Saddam Hussein, Mao, you name them...they were all defiant.

Burn it to the ground.

Well, if this is the end of the GOP and the two hundred odd year Republic, one may as well listen to some good music.

    May I suggest ?
  1. a stirring Scarlet/Fire with a one time only improvisation in the lyrics where "Before the final ascent in Fire, Jerry sings "Let it burn, let it burn, let it burn". That's one of my favorite moments."

  2. An epic rendition of Morning Dew captured on film starts at the 6:45 mark and by 14:45 "I guess it doesn't matter anyway," sad as that is.

The song is a dialogue between the last man and woman left alive following an apocalyptic catastrophe: Dobson has stated that the initial inspiration for "Morning Dew" was the film On the Beach which is focused on the survivors of virtual global annihilation by nuclear holocaust.

I live in Denver, Co.,I used to be a Dem. I changed my registration to Republican in 2005 and gave $$ regularly to the RNC and candidates through the years, but after this stunt, this evening I changed my registration to unaffiliated and will use my vote as a write in if I have to. This is unacceptable and the GOPe will be really surprised at the voters payback!
