Vanity: "Wish They All Could Be California Girls"/Guys- Delegates
The Green Papers 2016 Presidential Primaries, Caucuses, and Conventions - CA ^ | April 8, 2016 | Vanity Selfie inspired by The Beach Boys

"And the Northern girls with the way they kiss. They keep their boyfriends warm at night. I wish they all could be California. I wish they all could be California. I wish they all could be California Girls"- (And guy Cali delegates, too.)

A big WOW from Cali! Dude, the candidate chooses his/her own delegates!!!

LOYALTY matters. Whether it be in business, politics, or friendships, we all desire and respect loyalty. Let's consider the 172 member California Republican Delegation that will be seated in Cleveland for the RNC:

"The selection of Presidential Nominating Convention Delegates to the Republican National Convention ... shall be chosen by the Presidential candidate who obtained the plurality of Republican votes within each Congressional district, and, for ... at large ... by the Presidential candidate who obtained the plurality of Republican votes statewide." [Standing Rules and Bylaws of the California Republican Party As Amended 20 September 2015 Article VI Section 6.01 (A)]

"Each delegate to the Republican National Convention shall use his or her best efforts at the convention for the party's presidential nominee candidate from California to whom the delegate has pledged support until the person is nominated for the office of President of the United States by the convention, receives less than 10 percent of the votes for nomination by the convention, releases the delegate from his or her obligation, or until two convention nominating ballots have been taken. Thereafter, each delegate shall be free to vote as he or she chooses...." [California Elections Code Section 6461.(c)]

The California Republican Primary Election will be held June 7, 2016. They have 53 CDs X 3 delegates (162) plus 10 statewide delegates. The California Republican Party has passed rules in the peoples' interest for the 2016 election.-->

The peoples' voice/vote will be directly and correctly represented by their delegates. What an amazing and ethical concept! Republican voters should press their own individual state parties to adopt fair and ethical rules. Condolences to Cruz supporters / GOP Establishment: No Super-delegates to snatch in Cali.

As for California values? No one has a legitimate right to stereotype and condemn the entire state and trash Californians like they have New Yorkers. Plenty of great Conservative people live in both NY & Cali. Millions are multi-generational Californians & Yanks have chosen to stand their ground rather than exit. Conservatives are not to blame for the invasion and contamination of Cali. by outsiders. California's 172 delegates will finally play a significant role in the upcoming election; God-willing, they get it Right!

Here’s the best answer that I’ve seen:

The most conservative parts of CA are in the Central Valley and the Sierra Nevada foothills. Those counties are very rural and very conservative and are by far the most conservative in CA. But they don’t make up a large portion of CA’s population either.

Basically the Sierra foothills and Central Valley are the most conservative followed by Southern CA except for LA County and probably Santa Barbara County too. Northern CA is pretty much all liberal except for the central valley and foothill region.

Skiing, fishing, hunting, hiking, & mountaineering, Cali has a lot of natural beauty.

So it is actually 169 CD, 3 party, & 10 at large delegates.

“In addition, 3 party leaders, the National Committeeman, the National Committeewoman, and the chairman of the California’s Republican Party, will attend the convention as pledged delegates by virtue of their position.

Actually, the most accurate description is that coastal
areas which contain the largest population concentration
except for Orange County and San Diego is where the
libtards dwell. The exception would be the few
larger cities away from the coast such as inter-city
Fresno and the government worker haven of Sacramento.
The suburbs of those communities lean right which is
common across the nation.

Actually, I see CA divided politically as coast and inland, rather than north and south as has been assumed for years. I am a 3rd generation CA dating back to the late 1800s. I fled in 1972 when the political and social climate was turning it into a place where I didn’t want my children to grow up. I still have some pretty nice relatives there, but I only see them now at funerals and reunions. Even though they are conservative by CA standards, they are still too liberal for me! LOL.

Remember when CA always took a “favorite son” candidate to the Party Conventions? Their delegation was never pledged to anyone else who was running — just the favorite son on the first ballot. Things got interesting on the 2nd ballot.

I remember CA nominating Earl Warren and Pat Brown. I don’t know when that practice died out, but that was how they did it in my youth.
