You see this is where we part ways. You mentioned stealing, we didn’t even go there, you did!

Trump hired the Best to do the Best. Stealing wasn’t anywhere in our excitement. That is the Big difference in the two. Our Art of The Deal is having a pro do the job and like a Pro he’s able to use his skills. Stealing isn’t in the play book with Pros.

How is it “stealing” when one guy does it, but not the other?

If your guy is shoring up your delegates or talking with unbound ones it’s not stealing imo.

being so focused on 2nd etc votes at convention this far in advance, to me, speaks of selfish greed. I’m sure in the rules there is time between votes for discussion with then unbound delegates.

I also thinkit hugely disgusting to have to “buy” delegate support I think delegates should be selected by the winner of each delegate - then they would better know their loyalty, etc.

As trump stated about large campaign donors - it’s like addiction to gambling for some of them, well that’s what this delegate swaying/buying stuff looks like too - it’s ugly and diminishes the voice of the voters and the actual delegates personal view, should they decide to be bought.

Just use a phone book. Phone books don’t leave bruises.

This is a response to Cruz’s actions. Not being a lifelong pol, Trump thought, naively perhaps, that if he won the most states and votes the GOP would honor the will of the voters. He has discovered differently, and is adjusting to the changing situation.

Speaking of humongous hypocrisy—Cruz advocates have been criticizing Trump for not having a plan to get unbound delegates. Now he has one, and they’re criticizing him for having one.

This is my favorite thread of the week. For weeks, the Trumpsters have been whining about how Team Cruz is fighting dirty against poor babe in the woods Donald J. Trump. Many self-righteous denunciations were issued against Ted Cruz for merely engaging in the political process in the customary hardball way. Now that Trump has hired this guy who specializes in fighting dirty, the Trumpsters are cheering. Love the hypocrisy, but knock yourselves out. With that said, I don’t begrudge Trump and Manafort their ability to play tough. As the Cruz supporters have understood all along, politics is a tough business.

“overall, I think Donald has shown how even for much less $ you can get far in elections. look at all the wasted money by other candidates who’ve suspended and still active.”

_______________________________________________________

It’s admirable how far he’s come with so little expense.

But the other candidates didn’t start from the same position of popularity and recognition as Trump. Prior to diving into FR and following the debates, I couldn’t have named anyone aside from Trump, Jeb, and maybe Carson. Definitely not Cruz, the woman, or any of the others.

I’m all for Trump, but it’s his life’s work and reputation that have allowed him to start way ahead of the others in the general electorates’ eyes.

Trump 2016.

I have to wonder who lead him to Trump?

I suspect it was Roger Stone. They were partners in a lobbying firm back in the day. I don't doubt they know "people".

He has a specialized task and should only report to Trump.

Note he said that Lewandowski is still in charge doing what he always was.

Trump says politics are a dirty business. He’s playing tough and that’s a big difference from dirty. Iowa was dirty not tough. Donald plays TOUGH. Trying to change the Cruz dirty to tough is spinning.

-- This is a response to Cruz's actions. --

I think it's just a function of timing, that whether Cruz, or Kasich, or whoever was left would woo delegates for a second ballot was inevitable. There is a significant faction in the republican party who will stiff-arm and undermine Trump forever, even as president should he get the office.

Don't sweat the straw man criticism from Cruz supporters. It's just nonsense, and a waste of time and energy to engage with, unless you are doing so purely for entertainment purposes.

If Manafort could emulate Don Vito Andolini Corleone, good.

Don Vito got things done. Getting things done in Don Vito's manner is certainly no worse than what the present political uniparty has done to the People and the nation. Cruz ought to remember Barzini. Dirtbags usually meet Karma.
