I KNOW that is the way they store those particular weapons but like the police, they’re only minutes away when you need them. That policy needs to be changed due to the current practice of numerous attempts on our police folks lives. I have a VERY LONG family tree of law enforcement people (including my self) so understand the problem well. It’s like fighting with one hand tied behind your back so why start off with a disadvantage?

As a family member who is a retired police officer said: From a police administrator’s point of view,

A dead cop is a hero. A dead suspect is a problem.

LEO’s can’t go to work in head to toe Kevlar. At the same time In Areas like Manatee County Deputy Sheriffs carry a 12 Ga. shotgun in locked position in front, a S&W .40 Cal M&P as sidearm and an AR-15 semi-auto in the trunk.
