Wisconsin is not winner take all.

The results won’t change anything. Trump and Cruz will come out with about the same number of delegates no matter who wins.

Cruz will not gain any ground.

Milwaukee and most of the southern part of the state is liberal. North, from the Fox Valley up is mainly conservative.

Milwaukee is nearly as bad as Madison for pure socialists.

The area around Sheboygan is another neo socialist area. Lots of Germans around there and if you talk to them privately, you will actually find those that praise Hitler.

I wonder if he leaves the young folk scratching their heads in Wisconsin.
Speaking in more of a lecturer's tone than usual, Donald Trump advised supporters in Wisconsin to surround themselves with unsuccessful people during a Wednesday rally.

During a lengthy talk about success, Trump remarked to supporters that it's smart to surround yourself with "unsuccessful people" because they will "respect you" if you are successful. Trump's event Wednesday was held at St. Norbert College in Green Bay.

"You'll find when you become very successful, the people you will like best are the people that are less successful than you, because when you go to a table, you can tell them all these wonderful stories and they'll sit back and listen," Trump said.

Always be around unsuccessful people because everybody will respect you," he added, asking the crowd "do you understand that?"

Watch for Cruz to start the rumor that Kasich is dropping out of the race.

Trump keeps getting nuked over and over but still rolls on to the nom. LOL. If Ted Cruz wasn’t such an unlikable and fraudulent candidate he would have wrapped this up long ago.

The pattern in North Carolina was Cruz taking the liberal and wealthy mainline GOP areas while Trump did well in the Main Street conservative areas. I expect WI will be the same.

“Cruz will gain ground.”

Wanna bet?

Most of Wisconsin is very liberal. I’m pretty sure that most of the Cruz supporters are concentrated in a few conservative districts.

Also keep in mind that it’s an open primary. Trump usually overperforms polls in open primaries. And I don’t believe Cruz has won any so far.

I read that Trump needs to get only 14 delegates in Wisconsin to make it mathematically impossible for Cruz to get to 1237.

Maybe someone here can verify that.

Thanks!

In a head to head match up with Trump he leads 49/41. That’s because Kasich voters prefer him over Trump by a 51/19 spread. Only 63% of Kasich voters say they’re definitely going to vote for him (Cruz and Trump are both over 80% on that metric), so if his supporters end up moving to one of the top two it could mean a wider Cruz victory.

GOP voters in Wisconsin have positive views of both Kasich (52/30) and Cruz (50/36). Trump is on negative ground, with only 45% of voters seeing him favorably to 48% who have an unfavorable opinion of him. In an unusual twist Cruz voters (83%) are more solidly committed to their candidate than Trump voters (81%) are. This is the first poll we’ve ever done where we didn’t Trump with the most locked in base of support.

I saw that whole talk and the main point was do what you love and as you work harder your luck gets better, good things tend to happen, and things fall into place. It was warm and he really seemed to connect with the young people.

That is about it.

FYI, I was born and raised in N WI. Lived aournd Sheboygan for mnay years, was married to the famers daughter..

Not a very conservative area at all.

The Fox valley is another matter. North from there it is mostly anti establishment people since they have fought the down staters for years and years.

Actually, Cruz is doing best in the liberal anti Trump areas. In North Carolina he took the liberal areas while Trump won nearly all the rest of the state. WI be close because midwest liberal areas like WI are fertile Cruz Country.

It will come down to where the blue collar Dem crossovers and the nutcase college town leftists go.

I would not be shocked if the leftist cities, and Minnesota border regions go to Kasich, and the factory guys go Trump. Giving Trump just enough to squeak by.
