Correction. Adopted by John Astin. Sean’s real father was Desi Arnaz, Jr.

Sad. I loved seeing her in those shorts sitting on the General Lee.

Duke died on the morning of March 29, 2016 at the age of 69, from sepsis from a ruptured intestine.[19]

...The Flying Nun. Also remembered for her words at the award show You like me! You really, really like me.I believe it was Sally Field in the Flying Nun and it was Field who uttered that line when winning an Oscar for Places in the Heart.

Well get yourself a copy of the “Miracle Worker” !!!
Although I’m sure TMC will have a Patty Duke day in a short while and schedule an airing.

Actually, genetic testing revealed that his biological father was music promoter Michael Tell, to whom Duke was married for 13 days.

Yes, like the doctor who perforated my sister’s colon while removing a polyp and didn’t even notice. She came close to dying but the malpractice suit may net her a nice bit of change. She’s never had much and I’m rooting for her.

I think The Flying Nun was Sally Field.

Oh, no. One of the last class acts of old Hollywood.
Bless you Patty. You brought a great deal of joy in your time.

Oh really. Lol. Okay. According to wiki she told Sean that Dezi was his father. Maybe I should have read the whole page.

Her autobiography, “Call me Anna” was brilliant. She was bipolar, manic/depressive from childhood, but was not diagnosed until well into adulthood. Her childhood managers John and Ethel Ross basically took over her whole life, squandered all her earnings and abused her.
Loved her in “The Miracle Worker” both as Helen Keller in the movie and as an adult playing Annie Sullivan for the TV movie opposite Melissa Gilbert who played Helen.

You are right about that. Betty White, Brett Somers, Charles Nelson Reilly, Fannie Flagg, and Richard Dawson made up the regulars but ones like her, Patty Deutsch, Bill Daily, Mclean Stevenson, and Joyce Bulifant were on a fair bit as well.A couple of others who frequently turned up on "Match Game" have recently died as well: George Kennedy, Joe Gragiola, Joe Santos.
To: Blue Turtle
She also had a short run series in which she was the President.
The Patty Duke Show — that was sure a different era.

LOL confession I remembered her cutting a record but not the name of the tune. Had to search for that one. However, in commenting, as others had noted, I also confused Patty Duke with Sally Field. It’s a wonder the title was ever found!!
During those years EVERYONE on TeeVee was trying their vocal chords preparing to branch in their careers. Paul Peterson, Shelly Fabres to name but a few.
