Lasting Damage for G.O.P.? Young Voters Reject Donald Trump (52% Clinton - 19% Trump)
New York Times ^ | March 24, 2016 | Toni Monkovic

To understand the concern, and in some cases the panic, of many Republican officials over Donald Trump, consider this fact: Young people generally don’t like him. The potential of losing an election is one thing, but as polling numbers suggest, the Trump brand could weigh on the G.O.P. for a generation.

■ In a recent USA Today/Rock the Vote poll, respondents under 35 said they would pick Hillary Clinton over Mr. Trump, 52-19. Those lopsided numbers would be hard to reverse if Mr. Trump were the nominee because he is such a known quantity. When the respondents were limited to whites only, her lead was still substantial, 45-26.

■ A recent Washington Post-ABC News poll showed Mr. Trump and Mrs. Clinton essentially tied among people 40 and older, but with those under 40 preferring her by a nearly 2-to-1 margin.

■ In a national survey led by the Republican pollster Frank Luntz, 1,000 people 18 to 26 were asked: “Out of today’s major political figures, who do you like and respect the most?”

Thirty-one percent chose Bernie Sanders, followed by 18 percent for Barack Obama and 11 percent for Mrs. Clinton. Mr. Trump scored highest among Republicans, at 9 percent. In USA Today, Mr. Luntz called it a “a chasm of disconnection that renders every prominent national Republican irrelevant with the voting bloc that could control campaigns for the next 30 years.”

First off they are all receiving socialist educations.

But aside from that, how is Trump the problem if young people admire Hillary, Bernie and Obama, and Trump is the only republican they like at all?

I have been trying to tell people, Trump ain’t all that popular. He has a loyal base of supporters, yes. But compared to the whole electorate, it’s only a handful. After his base, no else likes him.

He will get crushed in November.

Mr. Luntz called it a “a chasm of disconnection that renders every prominent national Republican irrelevant with the voting bloc that could control campaigns for the next 30 years.”

Lungs has already shown himself as being nothing more than a PR firm for hire wrapped up in the fabrication of a polling research outfit as witness his “research” attempting to play up the Rubio campaign.

Another day, another story about how Trump can’t win.

They followed the exact same playbook when Reagan was running.

They’re counting on the Republicans to wet their pants and have a panic attack when they hear this.

The Council of GOPee Concern Trolls is VERY concerned.

The NYTimes is pretending that they are deeply concerned about the future of the Republican Party? When did they become Republicans? I must have missed that.

They would also reject Cruz, Kasich, Rubio, Bush or Carson. It's the free stuff candidates or nobody. Just think of all the young skulls full of mush who are missing out on "spring break" because the selfish taxpayers won't pay for them to go to "college" for free. They are safe zoneless and can only sit in their parents' basement playing video games, smokin' medical marijuana and taking selfies because of the selfish, REPUBLICAN taxpayers.

Better do this.
