Cruz is working hand-in-hand with him - he may think some of his deals will be honored but he's working off pure ego now and will be deflated when he is betrayed by those he chose as bed mates.
He’s using Kasich and Cruz for his own ends and he has no intention of getting them anywhere. Mittens knows exactly how to play the long game to the hilt.
