As for Trump’s speech tonight, it was superficial, meaningless pandering. A 4th grader could have done better. How many times did he say “believe me”. Twenty? Thirty? It was embarrassing for this country to have someone that ignorant running for president.

That is Trump's style, not his ignorance. It was a good speech. I'm listening to Cruz's speech for comparison. It's not bad, but he spends a lot of time outlining a lot of details.

I have to admit, what Trump loses in style points using phrases like "Believe me", he wins in charisma, the sound of his voice compared to Cruz. Cruz's zeal sounds too "preachy" for a presidential address.

I think Trump did a fine job. I was pleasantly surprised. Crowd seemed to love it especially when he said Obama was the worst thing that happened to Israel in the last 7 years. Talk about getting to the crux of things!

Go back several weeks and you will indeed see that Ted Cruz insulted the intelligence of Trump supporters and the phrase “ we love the poorly educated ( and the well educated ) “ did indeed come from Trump’s response

I did not watch either speeches but from this forum and others I am reading very strong approval for Trump’s speech and not much respect for Ted’s which drew less audience enthusiasm

I read that Cruz bashed Trump but Trump never mentioned Cruz because that wasn’t the purpose of the gathering or the speech

I suppose watching the audience reactions might tell the tale

Trump gave a great speech. Cruz of course turned the occasion into another bash Trump campaign speech. Sad and pathetic. Totally obsessed with the man kicking his ass all the way back to Canada. But it’s to be expected from someone who has crazy Glenn Beck as his chief policy advisor.

The delegates are required to vote for their candidate on the first ballot. That is why there has not been a contested nomination since 1952. There won’t be one this year, either.

Sorry to “bust” your Bubble , If all of Trump’s supporters walked and did not vote, Cruz would lose by a landslide.. It is going to take all the voters to prevent Hillary from winning in the General Election, to override her 130% democrat support.Trump is leading in the national polls about 30% over Cruz.
