Murphy made the comments while arguing that the Navy needs to pursue an aggressive plan to replace aging American submarines, which can thwart rival countries from gathering intelligence and maintain the security of global shipping lanes.

Yes- the wing in JAX NAS is not there, at least last week.

The P-3s have gone to a jet version? Not the long time over target area turboprops.

I lose a lot more sleep over Obama’s evil incompetence than Russian subs.

Sub base Groton is a major training center for cadet submariners who then fan out to specialty training for their service. Torpedomen, sonar, nupoc, engineering specs,

Don’t need the MAD anymore though. Russian boats run too deep.

But long live the Orion! (AKA Lockheed Electra).

The P8 is expensive, too fast, too high, can’t take the salt water spray, and a maintenance nightmare. The idiots in the 5 sided circus don’t have a clue. Like the A-10, the P8 is more effective when flying low and slow.

Low and slow and able to be over target area for far longer. The P-3 is what the hurricane hunters use, because there is no “jet” only propulsion to get blown out or washed out by extreme moisture..

If we can still track them— there then remains the persistent worry that the compromised security intentionally failing under POSTUS exposes our most important defense leg of the nuclear triad.

Like a John Walker spy ring— only much worse. Who is the firewall- the loyal patriots of security who can act if their commander says-— “nevermind”. No one with a set of balls to say ‘hell no’ you’re wrong, sir, and here’s why. The solution mentality is eroding, cause the brass are more concerned with their “nest”— some of the non-warrior types.
