VANCOUVER, WashingtonIf its too late for Bernie Sanders to catch his rival Hillary Clinton and win enough delegates to become the Democratic Partys nominee for president, someone forgot to tell Bryan Anaya. Anaya, a 27-year-old construction worker from Vancouver, awoke at 5:30 a.m. Sunday because hed heard on a radio talk show that Sanders had planned a rally in his city, in advance of Washingtons democratic caucus on Saturday. He and his girlfriend, 28-year-old Nichole Vega, dressed her two children, 6-year-old Julissa and 2-year-old Julian, and headed to Hudsons Bay High School to wait in line in a blustery Pacific Northwest downpour, to hear Sanders speak. They waited for hours. The kids are soaked, Vega said. ...

Weve been hearing a lot of stuff about Trump this and Trump that. Hes not bringing something positive to our country. Hes bringing violence. People are fighting at his rallies. We heard Bernie Sanders talk. He sounds like a good man, Anaya said. I feel like now is an important time for us to get involved.
Bernie should be taking hillary to task for her Chinagate treason back in ‘95 & ‘96. Then he’d sound educated.
THEY WOULDN’T BE FIGHTING IF YOU’D STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THEIR RALLIES!.......................
Blah, blah, blah.
Looks like a crowd in a field. Not even a big crowd.
They are really, really, really trying to build up the opposition.
Maybe Bernie can give them a free umbrella. They live in Vancouver and apparently don’t know that it rains.
A former co-worker posted personal cellphone video on Facebook of the rally. It was a pretty impressive turnout, my first immediate thought was “Holy s**t there are a lot of communists in Washington!”
Careful. There are a lot in *Western* Washington...think Pierce and King Counties.
Those look like Trump supporters to me...
Hillary is already the Rat nominee. Bernie was a patsy from day one.
go to #feelthebern and they all look like that, taking a selfie in the mirror
We replaced the Democratic machine that had run the county with three conservative GOP (the entire) Board of Supervisors. In retribution the local Dem machine introduced and passed in a local off-off year election a "charter" change that increased the board from 3 to 5. I think mostly the Vancouver Teachers Union was behind this.
It's constant political warfare. We dumped the Donkey rep. in 2010 and replaced him with someone else.
The Donks have done stuff like approve million dollar contracts to liberal consulting firms on their way out the door that can not be revoked.
This is what the Libs acted like when we were fighting their boondoggle: Jeanie Harris loses it
She was primaried in her next election and is no longer on the city council.
Oh collage sorority girls.
Yes Bernie Boobs for sure
My bad.
I’m believe that the young equate ‘socialism’ with ‘social media’ and “being social”, NOT with being ruled/controlled/manipulated.
I recall the news showing long lines of kids who were lined up to register in order to then vote the same day in the last election(s). Don’t know how they could form an idea of whom to vote for if they put off registering.
Believe it was more of a ‘mass social gathering’ via ‘social media’. Presume that’s one reason that they don’t mind being called children and being under a “parents” health care plan.
And Lou at the Daily Democrat (the columbiam) is behind it all.
Exactly so.
The Donks have done stuff like approve million dollar contracts to liberal consulting firms on their way out the door that can not be revoked.I don't know if this is the case here but you described the perfect reason to NOT have term limits.
All it takes is a couple of low-lifes term limited out with nothing to lose to screw over everyone.
Look at Obama for example.
I supervise several student workers at the community college where I work and they on occasion stop by my office and ask advice or want to talk. Today one of my workers came by to chat, a twenty something single mom with three children.
Initially she was complaining about her history class and it is turning to politics which she says she hates and then mentions her and her boyfriend are arguing about the upcoming election. So I asked what are you arguing about? She replies, he likes Trump and Trump is anti-everything and I like Sanders and Hillary and then says what is the difference?
I said I’m not trying to be nosy but how much money do you have on you or in your bank account? She said around $300. I said all right I am going to need you to write me a check for $250 and I am going to give it to three strangers I think needs it more than you. She recoiled and was like WTH! I said that is Sanders view.
She said what is Trumps to which I replied, it is your $300, you keep it and spend it, save it, whatever it is your money. Then I see the Eureka moment in her face!
Nicely played!
