'Brexit' could cost Britain £100 billion and a million jobs - CBI

A British vote to leave the European Union could cost the economy £100 billion and 950,000 jobs by 2020, according to research commissioned by employers' group the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).

The CBI said "Brexit" would deliver a serious shock to the British economy, regardless of any trade deals the country could negotiate with its former European partners.

"This analysis shows very clearly why leaving the European Union would be a real blow for living standards, jobs and growth," CBI Director-General Carolyn Fairbairn said in a statement on Monday.

"The savings from reduced EU budget contributions and regulation are greatly outweighed by the negative impact on trade and investment. Even in the best case this would cause a serious shock to the UK economy."

If Scotland want to be part of EU, and leave UK, they’re trading one master for another worst one

Would the answer be the same if they joined EFTA, like Norway and Switzerland?

Interesting puzzle piece.. Wonder how that fits in with the merger of London and German stock exchanges, currency? Haven’t heard much about Greece lately. I suppose the Europeans have been so inundated with rape jihadis, the economy gets back page. Which, of course, begs the questions Who, why and what’s next. It’s like a magic trick, if you watch this hand, you don’t see what the other is doing.

and if Britain stays in, twice that many jobs will be lost if only to all the new Islamic immigrants that the British ruling elite has sold out to

either UK regains its sovereignty, or it goes under.

once in charge of her own fate again, UK can enter into such agreements as are mutually beneficial with Germany, France, Italy, and so forth. Like normal nations do.

The economic consequences of UK leaving the EU will largely be neutral. We will gain in some areas and lose out in others. In my opinion Brexit is a democracy issue. I think this project is dying on it’s feet as we speak.

Why are divorces so expensive?
Because they most times are worth it.

It’s funny how the protectors of the status quo are happy to use Fear Uncertainty and Doubt.

They refuse to respond or even acknowledge the actual Fear, Alienation and violence resulting from the detritus that open borders have wrought to date.

Nothing will cause the loss of jobs.

If the UK leaves the EU, the only loss of jobs they might suffer if from their own ruinous taxation.

Barring that, it’s a win-win for the UK...except Scotland if they decide the suicide pact the UK is quitting, is the better option.
