Smartmatic Group, an electronic voting firm whose worldwide headquarters is located in the United Kingdom, will be running the online balloting process in the Utah Republican Open Caucuses on Tuesday.
The chairman of Smartmatics board, Lord Mark Malloch-Brown, currently serves on the board of George Soross Open Society Foundation and has close ties to the billionaire.

And a George Soros connected person in charge of voting.....move along nothing to see here.
No wonder Cruz is the predicted GOP winner there.
Any George Soros-connected person involved with our American voting process is a concern. That said, this guy is the Chairman of the Board. Knowing how small company boards operate, it is difficult to swallow any characterization of his role as being “the person in charge of voting”.
More likely, this is a Soros connected nabob collecting a paycheck for minimal work, like most small company chairmen. It’s a sinecure for connected club members. I’d be amazed if this “Lord Mark Malloch-Brown” puts in more than 10 hours a month at Smartmatic.
Not that is a smelly crock of crap. You ought not to be posting BS like that. It’s far too close to libelous.
By the way, not libelous to Ted Cruz, libelous to Smartmatic. You aren’t protected agains lawsuits when you libel companies or persons who are not public figures like politicians or entertainers. If I were you I’d be a little more circumspect when tossing out libelous accusations.
FYI
How else could lyin ted win?
Oh, please. Smartmatic will never sue. If they do it will open them up to the discovery process, and I’m pretty sure Soros’s cronies don’t want to open up that can of worms. Although I’d love to see it happen.
I agree, they won’t sue, but not for fear of discovery; it’s because there is little chance of significant recovery from the perpetual adolescent losers who post rubbish here on FR.
Guess Romney, Hatch, Lee and Cruz are cool with Sorus calling the voting shots in Utah.
BUMP
You mean, the “losers” who are backing the guy who’s winning? Strange definition of loser you have. When the primary season started I supported Cruz. Then for a long time I was Cruz/Trump or Trump/Cruz. Then when Cruz went all in with the establishment I became Trump/Somebody Other than Cruz. There are many, many more like me.
Cruz is not going to win the nomination, and your name calling and ill-informed attempts to shut down debate won’t change that. Cruz has a few more states like Utah that he can win, but the vast majority of remaining states are right in Trump’s wheelhouse, and he will rack up delegates very quickly now because they are winner-take-all or winner-take-most. Trump will go into the convention with all the delegates he needs.
Cruz is playing a losing hand and has been for some time. If he were really as smart as his supporters think, he would go to Trump and negotiate a deal for himself. As it is, he will, in all likelihood, get nothing from Trump and go back to Texas with his tail between his legs. A classic case of ambition overriding good sense. A shame, really, because Cruz had a lot of potential and blew it.
——If he were really as smart as his supporters think, he would go to Trump and negotiate a deal for himself——
All he has to do is pick up the phone and accept the offers already made.
He will
Could be, but all this effort being spent trying to get him to fold before all the cards are even dealt makes you wonder.
I doubt those offers are still on the table. People who know Trump say he can’t stand a liar. Early on I thought there was a strong possibility that Trump and Cruz had struck a deal because Cruz was drafting in Trump’s wake. Now I think any deal, if there was one, is kaput. Trump will get enough delegates without Cruz’s help. He won’t need Cruz. I hope Trump will pick a VP who will help in the general. A woman, maybe a black woman or an hispanic woman, could pull some women and minorities from Hillary.
What effort to get Cruz to fold? A bunch of keyboard kommandos here, maybe, but I don’t see where Trump has called for Cruz to get out. He has called for party unity, but that was aimed at the establishment.
I have not called for Cruz to get out. As long as people will fund him, have at it. Trump will win whether Cruz stays in or gets out and whether Kasich stays in or gets out. I have merely pointed out that if Cruz were thinking straight, he’d cut a deal with Trump, like, yesterday. That is assuming Trump will still take his call. As soon as Trump gets to 1237 he becomes the presumptive leader of the GOP, which is, ultimately, what all the GOPe caterwauling is about. Trump will then decide who gets what. If I were Cruz and wanted a future in politics, I’d think about making nice with my party’s soon-to-be-leader and prepare to run again later.
you may be right
time will telll
