Court documents read that DiMassimo “did knowingly enter and remain in a restricted building….cordoned off and otherwise restricted area where a person protected by the Secret Service.”

Sounds like that statute we’ve been discussing here. Disorderly conduct and causing a panic, state charges.

Hopefully this will get the attention of Sander’s boneheads. Trump has said he will press charges after the Kansas City rally.

In his mind he’s married to Barbara Mandrell.

“Rushing the stage behind someone’s back is not making political speech.”

It’s Performance Art!

He sounds like a delusional schizo with grand ideas that rushing the stage and making an ass of himself was going to make a powerful statement. Maybe it was a great idea when he was high on skunk weed but it will mean time in jail. Do not mess with the secret service.

Too cute by half, Mr. Attorney Person.

The law often likes to entertain motivations, if for no reason other than to fill out a report, but playing dumb as rock, or even earnest ignorance is not a defense.

At least it didn’t used to be.

Are you misrepresenting what the lawyer said intentionally, or negligently? The lawyer didn’t say that it was a form of political speech. He said that was what his client was imagining in his own mind.

Why did the Secret Service react the way it did to protect Trump if it did not take the threat seriously. He should be sentenced to one year in jail as a warning to the rest of the leftist goons.

I'm sorry, but since when is any of your quoted response ‘free speech’?

That is disrupting someone else’s rights and literally hijacking their event for your own gain. If they wish to hold a rally to say ‘Trump is bad’, then hold that event. Get the permits, pay the fees, arrange security, arrange for the common comfort, etc.

I really do miss the time when theft wasn't accepted by so many.

This is the very statute we have been discussing. I think they are misreading the penalty according to legislative history, but I could be wrong.

Thankfully the internet is forever and much of his stuff is archived.

Defending in federal court is expensive; his parent will pay and not allow him to have a court appointed attorney because they are smart.

Not the first time. Reagan had his award smashed once by a protester on stage right beside him, mic took over before the SS men threw him to the ground.

Notice Reagan didn’t punch the bonehead either.

“...in a sane world he would be hung.”

Hanged.

The word is hanged.

The tenses:

Is hanged

Was hanged

Shall be hanged

If you write about a man being ‘hung’ it is, most certainly, unsuitable on this forum.

Hardly, I'm going by what the lawyer said. “I don’t think he’s going to be charged in both jurisdictions,” said Jon Paul Rion, who added that he didn’t think DiMassimo would be in Dayton Municipal Court on Tuesday. “It’s clear that Thomas is simply a college student who, in his mind, was simply engaging in a form of political speech and making a statement, in his own mind.
