On the Big Island here, where sugar was phased out 20 years ago.

As it was on Molokai, Kauai, and Oahu. Those Maui workers knew that this day was
coming, and they knew it years ago. Schatz is paying DEMOCRAT VOTERS. All of
them had abundant time to prepare for this. There is no such relief when Sports Authority
will probably be shutting down soon, or any of the other businesses.

All politics.

That’s an invasion. Without a serious reversal of present military policy, the PLA navy may well turn itself into a common sight off Kaena Point.

“Dictatorship means unlimited power based on force and not on law.”

Lenin, 1920
The lawless in the federal government are of the same mind.

It doesn’t take much time to retrain for a service job or picking coffee beans. There isn’t much of anything else on Maui.

Is coffee grown on Maui? I've had Kona coffee from the Big Island and from Kauai, but Kona coffee is far superior.

A friend of mine who has spent some time in Hawaii said that the former sugar and pineapple plantations are mostly being allowed to go back to nature.

Yet another unconstitutional federal program that needs to end.

Killed off by radical environmentalists and federal clean air restrictions.

Mauai does produce coffee. I don’t drink coffee so can’t comment on the taste. On Kauai much of the old plantations on the southern side were converted to coffee after the sugar and pineapple plantations shut down. The other big areas were sold to Zuckerberg and extremely wealthy people.

On Mauai there isn’t much else in the way of agriculture. Maybe they’ll expand coffee. It seems to be a growth industry. Chocolate is becoming more common. Lots of distilling and brewing popping up on the islands too.

It’ll be tough for the long timers who worked at the sugar plants. There’s not much else there right now.
