So the Feds won’t be fining people for not having health care? Hypocrites.

Which of course is very wrong. Ought to be dealt with state by state, but still wrong.

This is crazy.
But at the same time the courts are *sometimes* nothing more than random tax collectors.
A friend of mine dropped a cigarette on the sidewalk and crushed it out. He was ticketed for littering and throwing a burning object.
His fine was $567. That is just as crazy.

I have a friend who lives not even check to check. Her fault but that’s another story. She recently got a ticket for running a red light.....$400! Beside the point that that is an obscene amount, she couldn’t pay it so they arranged for her to make payments but the amount unpaid assesses penalties I guess because that $400 ticket is gonna cost her a lot more because she couldn’t pay it lump sum.

I wonder if this would have applied to Christian bakers who refused to participate in a mockery of the wedding sacrament, or does it only apply to liberals who are fined?

And here the Eighth Amendment has that no-excessive-fines clause too.

Funny how that became a “tax” so as to evade the Eighth Amendment.

Iredell Co., NC, wanted me to pay $40 per 8 hrs of community service which was part of my sentence of 160 hrs of community service (this was a while back and may have changed by now). Told them to stuff it and did 5 months.

And don’t forget to add “Court Costs”, another revenue raising scheme.

Of course, you don’t pay your taxes, it doesn’t apply.
