They read the first sentence or headline and off they go with half or less of a story. Fill in the blanks from blanks and out comes a new and improved version.

There is an implied “or” between each of those bullet points. You have probably said or implied at least one of those. In fact , you just did #3.
My mom’s been calling for months to find out where and when to go. Nobody had an answer. Even finding out how the process works is difficult in that state.
My husband’s mad because there’s no way for a deployed service member to participate.
