That was Jekyll Island.

No, but it is nearby, it’s part of the same coastal island group.

I find it mildly interesting that the article doesn’t name the resort this meeting was at. It’s The Cloister, and it’s on Sea Island, which is adjacent to the much larger Saint Simon’s Island. Access requires use of two bridges, one from the mainland to SSI, then a smaller one from SSI to Sea Island.

There was a G8 summit there a few years ago. One of the pluses was that access for protester control was easily controlled, and additionally the locals aren’t naturally friendly to the protester class.
