"Billionaires, tech CEOs and top members of the Republican establishment flew to a private island resort off the coast of Georgia this weekend for the American Enterprise Institute's annual World Forum, according to sources familiar with the secretive gathering.

The main topic at the closed-to-the-press confab? How to stop Republican front-runner Donald Trump.

Apple CEO Tim Cook, Google co-founder Larry Page, Napster creator and Facebook investor Sean Parker, and Tesla Motors and SpaceX honcho Elon Musk all attended. So did Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), political guru Karl Rove, House Speaker Paul Ryan, GOP Sens. Tom Cotton (Ark.), Cory Gardner (Colo.), Tim Scott (S.C.), Rob Portman (Ohio) and Ben Sasse (Neb.), who recently made news by saying he "cannot support Donald Trump."

They also want to stop Cruz.

Cruz will not be the nominee so there is no need to mount a stop Cruz efford. The anti globalist pro American candidate is Donald Trump. Cruz is only in it to help the uniparty stop Trump by spliting the anti vote.

Ike warned us about them back in 1960’s. They are now entrenched and it is going to be very difficult to unentrench them.

So why shouldn’t people try to prevent his nomination before it’s too late.

So you're cool with dissolving the United States and turning North America into something like the European Union? Many of us took an oath to defend our constitution and we are not down with your globalist agenda.

Closed to press? How did HuffPo find out what the topic was?

Why?

So they now have to get off their sorry arse's and make hard decisions about what stays and what goes in DC? Like maybe cut way back on the EPA Which is the real reason we don't make anything here anymore it's to freakin' hard to chrome plate a facet without emitting something that will get you gigged.

And as far as these Corp Titans? Get over yourself, you are not that good, hire people that were born here, and stop trying to juice up your margins and ROI by keeping your labor cost that low. Making money is hard, it is not your birth-right to have profit margins in the stratosphere vs a utility that has to build something to make a margin on what they sell, not some friggen app that while is brilliant intellectual property, doesn't take steel and real men to work and build like a powerplant.

Rant over, I am so sick of all these weasels..

This should be a wake up call to Ted Cruz. Unless he’s on the hillary bandwagon too, he ought to unite with trump against both parties and they will kick a$$.

“I am getting a little sick of these CEOs spending millions of dollars to subvert our political system.”

Exactly. Where's the outrage by the media over big money subversion of the will of the people?? Next time someone laughs about the idea of a small number of people running things behind the scenes, and brushes it off as ‘tin foil hat’ conspiracy paranoia, ask them to explain what this is. And this is just what we've heard about. Tim Cook, for one, clearly does not want Trump or Cruz messing with his access to Chinese labor to build Apple products.

Got some driven folks right here on FR that they might be able to leverage....

Funny how they will try to attach something to Trump (like knowing someone or being endorsed by someone who ain't pure conservative) but fail to recognize the even closer ties they have with those who wish to erase the will of the People forever.....Remember Mississippi and the treachery to get Thad Cochran re-seated - they want to do it on a national scale and we have folks right here that want to help them - pathetic hypocrites.....

“Remember these traitors to the Republic!”

Definitely save this list. Many will be up for reelection one of these years. We need to crush them!

That’s a great question — something to think about. Do the Cruz supporters REALLY want to be on the side of:

Apple CEO Tim Cook,
Google co-founder Larry Page,
Napster creator and Facebook investor Sean Parker,
Tesla Motors and SpaceX honcho Elon Musk
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)
political guru Karl Rove,
House Speaker Paul Ryan,
GOP Sens. Tom Cotton (Ark.),
Cory Gardner (Colo.), Tim Scott (S.C.),
Rob Portman (Ohio)
Ben Sasse (Neb.)
Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Fred Upton (Mich.)
Rep. Kevin Brady (Texas)
Kevin McCarthy (Calif.)
Cathy McMorris Rodgers (Wash.),
Budget Committee Chairman Tom Price (R-Ga.),
Financial Services Committee Chairman
Jeb Hensarling (Texas)and
Diane Black (Tenn.)
Philip Anschutz
Democratic Rep. John Delaney of Maryland
Arthur Sulzberger, the publisher of The New York Times

It’s shameful that there are any on the list with “R” after their names! When they, and Rove, conspire with Google and Napster, America and the Republican party have fundamentally changed.
