"Billionaires, tech CEOs and top members of the Republican establishment flew to a private island resort off the coast of Georgia this weekend for the American Enterprise Institute's annual World Forum, according to sources familiar with the secretive gathering.

The main topic at the closed-to-the-press confab? How to stop Republican front-runner Donald Trump.

Apple CEO Tim Cook, Google co-founder Larry Page, Napster creator and Facebook investor Sean Parker, and Tesla Motors and SpaceX honcho Elon Musk all attended. So did Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), political guru Karl Rove, House Speaker Paul Ryan, GOP Sens. Tom Cotton (Ark.), Cory Gardner (Colo.), Tim Scott (S.C.), Rob Portman (Ohio) and Ben Sasse (Neb.), who recently made news by saying he "cannot support Donald Trump."

No I want them out of the party. Force them out and either let them join the democrats or let them have the hassle of making a third party.

Excellent. Thanks.

Clearly lays out the neocon-CRuz connection.

Yes, that group. That is why Ted’s policies are conflicted on certain issues like Edward Snowden and spying.

More and more Neocons are jumping on his team.

Won’t end well.

Bush’s former Homeland boss Chertoff was found to have people wandering around his private residence who had entered the country illegally. And this was during war time. I guess security was not a big concern for Homeland Security Chief.

>> You may be joking but we don’t really know what Trump would do.

So your votes anticipated the outcome the Country is now suffering?

Yes ... but why don’t these huge international corporations just pay the foreigners to do the same work in the foreigners’ own countries (mostly that means Communist China but also some from India and other Asian nations).
Wages in those places are still lower than what the corps are paying the foreigners to do the work now, here.
(And both Apple and Google are paying out zillions of $$$ just for super-sized new buildings in SillyCon Valley, etc... just to house (and as you point out, feed) all these foreigners here

NO, it does not make economic sense for the corps to be importing more and more of the Asian workers when the corps could get the same work from the very same workers in Asia

There HAS to be more to this story... its not all about H-1b visas... yes, to some degree but there has to be a lot more about this story, imho

thanks

When did anything posted on Huffington become gospel truth around here? We don’t even know if this is true and Freepers are running around saying the sky is falling.

Now Karl is working with the Democrats too!

It's a been about almost 10 years (right before the '06 midterms disaster) since the last time Rove was admired around here.

Seems like another lifetime ago.

Right now Cruz is in a vortex where conservative poseurs like Governor Phil Bryant of Mississippi endorse him, while Mitt Romney makes robocalls to Mississippi promoting Rubio.

The end game is to get these two guys above the 15 percent threshold to split delegates with Trump and hold Trump back.

Idaho has a lot of Mormons in it and that’s where Mitt’s calls could get Rubio above the 20 percent threshold to trigger a three way delegate split with Cruz and Trump.

NOT so fast!

If they try that it would have serious consequences for GOP!!

This “dirty” treason, yes TREASON marching on by Rove, Mitten, and Co., would give Donald Trump a free pass from his promise not go 3rd party. If that should happens, “We the People” would follow him in droves and possible win in a Ronald Regan-like landslide, and make good old GOP check mate. As Jeanine Pierro said Saturday, that soft cotton Mitten has awakened a silent Giant, even on both sides. But the fear is assassination attempt like Mormon Glenn Book demonstrated on his show !!!
