I’ve done contract work for GE. I’ve known how GE treats companies it buys out. I like Cruz just fine, but Welch does not impress me.
So? If you were party to some of Trump’s business decisions in his bankruptcies and failed businesses, you would not consider him brilliant, either. Yet those are defended with incredible zeal here.
Who will Trump supporters not turn on to support their guy?
So then why does Trump want Welch as part of his administration?
How many companies can make a GOOD Jet engine.
or a Great Submarine
or a Power Plant level AC generator
or a Nuclear Reactor
These are NOT small easy tasks.
Jack Welch hasn’t been at GE since 2001; 15 years ago. Nice try.
Bingo!!!!!
GEwas a mess when he took over.
He made it worse, very much WORSE.....
If he’d have endorsed Trump you’d have been shouting it from the rooftops.
Never fond of him, played hardball that frankly wasn't fair in the jet engine business, but I won't get into it here. Look into the book written about him that isn't flattering....
What a coup for Cruz and a slap to Trump the business tycoon! Just damn.
You mean like the A, B, C, "Rack um and Stack um" employee rating system? Ya ask a pharmacy tech in the area of that systems adoption and the increase in prescriptions of "meds" to deal with it...
Yeah, it’s almost as if an insider like Trump endorsed Cruz...
I understand your support for trump but it has to get tiring proclaiming everyone who doesn’t an “Insider” or “GOPe”.
You take everything personal. It’s like “They Ain’t us, so they Hate us.” to twist the saying a touch.
Breath MNJohnnie, Breath.
Trump was a real estate speculator with forays into other businesses. He obviously gamed the system. He also had a helluva start fro his father. Welch came to head a company that was already successful with the facilities to manufacture products with few competitors.
The twin CEOs at Westinghouse were in much the same situation except they inherited a finance division that was a lender of last recourse. The equivalent GE unit, IIRC, was much better managed which had nothing to do with Welch. The Westinghouse finance division’s mismanagement led to the breakup of Westinghouse. Welch got the lucky, the dual CEOs weren’t.
Nice endorsement for Ted Cruz.
Nice endorsement for Ted Cruz.
I thought Welsh was the good guy and Immelt the bad guy at GE?
I’ll admit, I don’t really know, just the way I’ve heard it over the last few years.
They both could be good or bad as far as I know.
Don’t know the man.
