Bernie Sanders Doesn't Care About Poor White People in Vermont March 7, 2016 Daniel Greenfield
Bernie Sanders has no idea that poor white people exist. So much for the whole Socialist "fighting for the poor" routine.
"When you are white, you dont know what its like to be living in a ghetto, you dont know what its like to be poor," Bernie Sanders said at the Flint debate.
While Bernie Sanders may not encounter them in his rallies at college towns, plenty of poor white people exist. And the situation has actually become critical in some parts of the country where lifespans among white middle aged men are dropping at horrific rates.

I remember being poor, white and living in Da Bronx on 170th street, the Ghetto!
I am so glad they are just memories and not my reality today but I still remember!
Visit Appalachia Bernie. If you dare.
Financial despair, addiction and the rise of suicide in white America
The death rate for white Americans aged 45 to 54 has risen sharply since 1999, but Montana officials wrestle to explain why the state has the highest rate of suicide in the US at nearly twice the national average and its rising
Kevin Lowney lies awake some nights wondering if he should kill himself.
I am in such pain every night, suicide has on a regular basis crossed my mind just simply to ease the pain. If I did not have responsibilities, especially for my youngest daughter who has problems, he said.
The 56-year-old former salesmans struggle with chronic pain is bound up with an array of other issues medical debts, impoverishment and the prospect of a bleak retirement contributing to growing numbers of suicides in the US and helping drive a sharp and unusual increase in the mortality rate for middle-aged white Americans in recent years alongside premature deaths from alcohol and drugs.
A study released late last year by two Princeton academics, Anne Case and Angus Deaton, who won the 2014 Nobel prize for economics, revealed that the death rate for white Americans aged 45 to 54 has risen sharply since 1999 after declining for decades. The increase, by 20% over the 14 years to 2013, represents about half a million lives cut short.

Stereotype Debunked: More Whites Receive Food Stamps Than Blacks

Commander in Chief Bernie Sanders. Pity the US military having to report to this clueless former conscientious objector. Just when they are getting out from under the thumb of Capitulator in Chief Obama, they have to put up with Democrats in this nation potentially subjecting them to further belittlement by an old socialist picketing protester.
Sharpton is his Race Pimp go to guy. Sharpton would say to you...” Appolonia ? Yeah she was hot in her day! “
Remember “ Ice tea, and Skillets” ?
“”When you are white, you dont know what its like to be living in a ghetto, you dont know what its like to be poor,” Bernie Sanders said at the Flint debate.”
Burn in Hell, slime.
Military families turn to food stamps
A growing number of working people use food stamps to help make ends meet. Often they work in retail, food and service industry jobs, where pay is traditionally low. But theres another group of working people turning to food stamps that might surprise you: active-duty military personnel and their families.

So I guess Bernie’s theory is that po’ white folk’s is po’ cause da’ wants to be po’.
Po’ black folk’s is po’ causin’ dey can’t do no betta?
My mom and dad raised 7 kids and supported my Grandmother on a truck driver’s pay. We never took any public assistance. I guess that’s not poor enough to count.
No. Whites have been placed into an artificial group, and all the members have been branded as rich and oppressive.
Go to hell, bernie.
Many years ago there was discussion about the poor Whites in Appalachia. Then the democrats placed blacks in a government-certified “oppressed” victim group that voted solidly democrat, and we never heard one more word about the poor Whites in Appalachia.
Bernie was pandering for the black vote... none of the democrats give a damn about 'the poor'...
Vermont? Vermont is merely a plaything for wannabe commie radical New Yorkers to try out their marxist claptrap in a more bucolic setting than Manhattan.
I live in rural Alabama. We have made progress here but are still a poor state. However the last several years have stopped our progress. People can’t even afford mobile homes anymore. They are getting RVs and setting them up in relative’s yards or just moving into RV parks. These are people who work or try to. It is really sad. Thanks Obama.
Growing up in the 50s in my white family of five, we lived in some war housing that my dad was fixing up to be rental apartments. We had only partial toilet facilities handled mostly by an outhouse.
We never had any freebies and we used surplus war items such as tooth powder and rough wool blankets. Clothes came from second-hand shops. My father had his PhD and my mother had her master’s but after teaching at Portland State for some years my dad decided he would never work for anybody else again so we were living his dream. We brought sack lunches to school with peanut butter or tuna sandwiches and a piece of fruit. No free school lunches back then!
Nevertheless, we three Poor, White kids grew up fine except for maybe a little or a lot unorthodox thinking. I became an entrepreneur with a small business, my sister became an engineer and my brother owned a fish boat.
There were subsidized housing units across the street where people had real bathrooms and TVs, but not us.
