Long lines greeted thousands of Kansas Republicans Saturday as caucus sites opened across the state under chilly but comfortable skies.
The wait easily exceeded an hour at the Shawnee Mission East caucus in Johnson County. Other caucuses were less crowded, but business was still brisk.
I dont mind at all, said Syd Taylor of Prairie Village as he waited in line. I want to to hear what other people have to stay. He said he planned to cast his ballot for Ohio Gov. John Kasich.
The GOP operated caucuses at more than 100 sites across the state and one in St. Louis, where Wichita State basketball fans gathered for a tournament. Registered members of the party can cast secret presidential preference ballots between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Some of these dopes really do think Cruz is the one that did it.
I swear some of the people in these states just love the idea of losing to the establishment because they think they are proving some point.
The wife and I just returned from the Wyandotte County caucus. Took about an hour and a half of standing in line to get to mark a ballot. Worth it!
(Honestly, I didn’t think there were that many Republicans in Wyandotte county!)
Thank you for posting!
There are not lines for that on Black Friday. Good to see people coming out!
That is why I take the time to post each state. To see if FReepers in each state has gone out to vote then report back in. Thank you for reporting back in.

Ah, so the “news” spikes yet another liberal. Got it.
Certainly, varies. My wife and I were done in 10 minutes. It took us a lot longer time to drive there.
I am loathe to criticize Mr. Trump, but I have to say that the way our soldiers are treated is far worse than an embarrassment - it’s an outrage.
It is fun to talk to the people at these things.
I was there when that picture was taken. I was behind the camera in the short, pre-registered line.
I hardly think that's a criticism. Language is not his strong suit. Heart and courage seem to be, though. He has been outspoken on this issue from the beginning of his campaign, and as far back as the 90s was supporting Vietnam vets to the tune of $1 million. So grateful to him for his self-funding his bully pulpit on this issue (and many other issues).
Casualty reports??
The wife and I just returned from the Wyandotte County caucus.

Question. Why do they call it a caucus if in fact all you do is go in and mark a ballot?
Thanks
Good question. Last time I went was in 2008 and we sat down and listened to speakers. I did not go in 2012. My husband was dying of cancer. Romney was pretty much winning it. I was too distracted.
Oh, very cool! :)
