I noticed they have a turnout comparison of the GOP 2016 v 2008 at the website. Anyone seem something similar that compares the last four terms, both Repub and Demo? I started compiling my own but its taking longer than I thought.

It was an especially brilliant move for Trump to tell CPAC to stuff it and go do this rally in Wichita this morning, because it was held at the Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center which is also the location for the Kansas GOP Caucus for Sedgwick and two other counties. So he literally had his rally and then sent everyone right over to the other part of the facility to caucus.

Sedgwick County which includes the heavily industrialized Wichita aircraft industry, has a population of over 1/2 million and is the 2nd most populous county in the state.

Another excellent strategic move by Team Trump!

Also, since Kansas is adjacent to and very similar culturally to OK and TX where Cruz won, the fact that he is in IDAHO today may be a sign that he knew it couldn’t win in KS.

Hi, just got back from caucusing in Olathe, KS which is in the KC metro area. We arrived 20 minutes early to full parking lot with lots and lots of people. Trump signs lining the street.

Rubio was here last night in Overland Park spilling his BS and Santorium (spelling) was at our caucus site shaking hands pushing Rubio. Lots of Rubio people. Hubby shook Santorium’s hand but the former Sen failed miserably to make a good impression on hubby. Rubio signs all over the inside. But, at the podium above the Rubio signs was a large sign and it belonged to TRUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No Cruz signs or people that we saw. It appears Republican wise, this might be a Rubio area, but not fully.

As leaving, more and more showing up to vote. News crew arrived on scene. Caucus is from 10am to 2pm today. Should be close from my understanding, Trump up 6 points over Cruz. Look for Western Kansas and Wichita area to determine the outcome.

Awwwww, thanks for the sweet graphic. It’s wonderful. And no, I did not shake any establishment’s hand today!!!!!!! :) LOL. Hubs told me it was easier to be nice and just vote and go. Talk to ya on the thread tonight. Right now it’s back to paying bills. Then I have to clean house, make homemade noodles for tonight and in between everything else, make sure Sam and Finn get lots of attention otherwise, Finn loves to play with my napkin rings. :) Hugs.

As long as Trump speaks obnoxiously, threateningly, and crudely the more I pay attention to the Trump-alternatives. I would rather be a conservative than part of a thoughtless republican mob.

Okay. But I’m not establishment and never will be. As for Trump’s vocabulary, I’d be very interested in hearing some of those holier than thou, candidates behind closed doors. A politician is a politician is a politician.........

A real estate developer is a real estate developer, too. I see very little difference, having known many of both.

Yeah, a conservative site where a lot of posters speak ill of The National Review and have from well before the magazine took a position against Trump's candidacy.

You, of course, overlook the possibility that eartick was being sarcastic.

So long as American nationalism was more-or-less identical to fidelity to the American founding, American nationalists were de facto American conservatives (that is adherents of the position that in Europe and Australia is called "classical liberalism", possibly with a tilt toward what in Europe is called conservatism). Trump has produced a version of American nationalism separate from American conservatism, and a lot of posters to this site favor that version. If you want proof, look at the more serious posts praising Trump for snubbing CPAC.

Screw National Review, I don’t have a lot of love for them either. With notable exceptions, they are almost as liberal as Donald Trump. Please don’t give me the stock Trump answer for that: I mean that Reagan changed too. Reagan changed over a lifetime and Trump changed for one election cycle!
As far as making deals with the Democrats, which is Trump’s main selling point for domestic politics; making deals over constitutional issues had better not happen! We already have a president who can deal with Democrats, and where did that get us? We don’t deal with Democrats, we beat their asses with straight up votes! Please do not lecture me on Classical Liberalism, I’m kinda well versed in all of that.
As for Trump creating an offshoot of conservatism that favors nationalism, you are wrong. It is called “neo-populism”. Read up on William Jennings Bryan and...Ross Perot.
By the way, Trump made apology on Fox and Friends this morning for missing CPAC to go to Kansas. He said he would be there for sure next year. I’ll bet he doesn’t show if he loses. He’ll be attending Democrat fundraisers.
Finally, if I missed sarcasm on this thread it’s because I underestimated the intellectualism of it. Know what chaps my ass? If Trump wins I will have to vote for him! I’m actually going to have to vote for a real estate huckster who breaks contracts and changes his views on immigration on the debate stage, because he’ll be running against a socialist. I swore that after McCain I would never settle again...well, s—t!!

By the way, we share political auto biographies. I was a charter member of YAF when they went nationwide in, I think, 1966. I read Wm. F. Buckley’s God and Man at Yale when I was 13.

Very sarcastic.

What I was hitting was that Trump was throwing yet again Conservatives under the bus to play to crowds where he would not have to answer straight up questions.

He knew he would not have to stand on a stage and go man on man with a person asking direct questions and ANSWER it.

No he took the easy street and stood on a Reatlity TV stage instead
