The entire cost can be collected through Western Union. :)

"If that was a major issue for those voters"

It is the major issue this election cycle, and it crosses party lines.

Great post. Great visual, in fact. Picture a wall built of entitlements and topped with a barbed wire accent of whining.

Based on those polls that Trump likes to quote so often, illegal immigration is the top issue for only about 10-15% of the voters - and that number is MUCH lower for Dems.

Forget about tariff. Mexico receives a half billion dollars in aid from us each year. That would make a good deposit!

“The president can’t impose tariffs - Congress has to ass legislation to do that”

I believe President G.W. Bush did in fact, impose a Tariff on imported steel back in ‘02. There are many options a President can use. Call it what you want? Unfair trade practice(s) should not go unchecked by any President that has the loyalty to defend the USA.

The tariff Bush imposed was one that already existed in law and wasn't being applied at that time on steel imports. If no tariff exists on the products to which Trump wanted to apply tariffs, he would need Congress to approve them. Even if they existed in law, he could not set the rates at any level he chose, but only within the range approved by Congress.

Oh, and how well did that tariff work out for the USA??

"The protection of the steel industry in the United States had unintended consequences and perverse effects: it reduced production of steel in the United States, increased costs to users, and increased unemployment in associated industries."

Pretty much what everyone has been telling Trump his plans would accomplish as well.

..., and increased unemployment in associated industries..”

Associated Industries? ... Like those foreign Governments that were subsidizing foreign Steel mills to promote market share?? Yeah, there was unemployment alright. The Foreign mills were not owned by American companies, hence - that was the intention. Thanks for making my Point!

You really are clueless, aren’t you? This was talking about the impact of the tariff on the US, not foreign companies. I know reality and facts are not popular with Trump supporters, but denying them does not make then any less true...

Typical Trumpster - can’t refute the facts, so you call names, make insults, and run away. Buh-bye! Off to your “safe space”!
