Lonsberry: GOP BOSSES SPIT IN THE VOTERS’ FACES
thegatewaypundit.com ^ | March 2

Posted on 03/02/2016 6:47:15 PM PST by Helicondelta

Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is holding a press conference on Thursday before the GOP FOX News debate.

He will attack Donald Trump – and the millions of voters who support him.

The anti-Trump effort being waged by the Republican Party is essentially a fight against democracy. It’s not that this monster has raised himself up to threaten the ivory castles of the blue bloods, it’s that millions of people have stood up and said, “Enough is enough.” It is they against whom the GOP establishment is fighting. And that fight never turns out well.

Donald Trump isn’t Barry Goldwater in 1964, he is Andrew Jackson in 1828. He is going to storm the White House, and he is going to bring his unwashed hordes with him. The Trump campaign is built on the uniquely American premise that the people are sovereign, and that does not jibe with cozy arrangements of the country-club Republicans. For too long, the Republican Party has exploited its constituencies, instead of served them, and the beaten dog is about to bite.

Some have gone off after Ted Cruz, but most have gone off after Donald Trump. Together, something approaching 80 percent of Republican voters thus far this primary season have told the party establishment to pound salt.

Milt Romley had his chance, and managed to lose to the absolute worst president this country has ever had.

Going into 2012, I would have said that no one could have possibly lost to Obama, but Milt pulled it off.

And I should now listen to him why?

This is not new, it’s been going on 20 years running...

And Trump is payback.

You know he makes a good point. Mitt making that speech tomorrow is like the GOPe spitting in the voters faces.

Yep. The seeds actually were planted in 1992, when the base was fed up with Bush I, and that bequeathed Ross Perot.

Whether or not Perot was in cahoots with the Clintons is up for debate; however he did touch on the populist/nationalist nerve that enabled him 19 million votes in November 1992.

Political parties grow and then die. The U.S. Has had many political parties over its history. Perhaps we are so fortunate as to witness the death of the GOPe; a party which has outlived its usefulness and betrayed its base. It’s death is a good thing... Except of course for those insiders.

Beware. The democrats work to divide the Republicans and then pit them against each other. They are historic masters this tactic.

They think they are fighting one man, Donald Trump - but in fact they are fighting the millions of people who like what Trump stands for and will vote for him.

It is a battle between the GOPe Establishment and We the People.

GOP BOSSES SPIT IN THE VOTERS’ FACES

The Jig Is Up
Their problem is a guy who can buy and sell them, then buy them back. And sell them again.
Ryan is going to see him tomorrow to try and set things right. He will wait in Trump’s lobby for 30-45 minutes.
When they meet, Ryan will want to to say, “SEIU and the US Chamber of Commerce ... “ and Trump will interrupt and ask him if they can re-schedule, and then Ryan will find himself on his way back to his hoity-toity offices where Preibus will be waiting with bated breath. The two Badgers will hold one another and weep softly into the padded shoulders of their $600 baggy suits, then Bitch will just happen to stop by and ....

They just don’t get it. Mitt Romney is about as useful to the Republican party as an unmatched sock. It’s truly a wonder why anyone would think that someone inclined to vote for Donald Trump would listen to Mitt Romney. In fact, the more Romney shows his face, the more it reminds people why they should vote for Trump.

If Donald Trump wants to go down in history as a great president, there will need to be indictments.
There will need to be trials.
There will need to be convictions.
There will need to be sentences.
There will need to be Traitorobama and his regime, including Hillary, left to rot off of their nooses.

Well, it seems the Cruz advocates should be happy with this development.

In the general election we'll have a (R) lawyer/politician up against another (D) lawyer/politician or a commie. What can go wrong?

In Florida since you have to be registered in your party to vote in the primary, I plan to Vote for Trump in the primary on the 15th then go and register independent. The GOP can kiss my backside!

"For too long, the Republican Party has exploited its constituencies, instead of served them, and the beaten dog is about to bite."

This is spot on.
