Note the reference to Natural Law in the first sentence of our Declaration of Independence.

It is crystal clear that the Founding Fathers used the Natural Law definition of 'natural born Citizen' when they wrote Article II. By invoking "The Laws of Nature and Nature's God" the 56 signers of the Declaration incorporated a legal standard of freedom into the forms of government that would follow.

President John Quincy Adams, writing in 1839, looked back at the founding period and recognized the true meaning of the Declaration's reliance on the "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God." He observed that the American people's "charter was the Declaration of Independence. Their rights, the natural rights of mankind. Their government, such as should be instituted by the people, under the solemn mutual pledges of perpetual union, founded on the self-evident truth's proclaimed in the Declaration."

AGain....cRuz did not disclose his Canadian citizenship to the people of Texas, when he ran for his Senate seat. Very deceptive.

I’d like to know if he disclosed his Canadian citizenship on his Senate filing papers.

His careless attitude of abandoning his Senate seat, after a few short years, is also something I don’t appreciate...after spending time and $$ to help get him elected against Dewhurst, to replace KBH.

“Don’t blame the entire Republican Senate. Blame McConnell (BTW...who Trump supported in 2014).

I thought Trump only supported liberal democrats?

“So yes, Trump did have a direct roll in this (so yes Trump affect government policy by helping elect people including Hillary).”

McConnell is stabbing Trump in the back at this moment.

Trump gave money to your idol Cruz and helped him get elected.

It was NOT Trump who appointed McConnell as majority leader, it was the entire Senate.

You Cruz-bots are not very bright.

WHAT IS "FAKE" CONSERVATISM AND WHAT IS "REAL" CONSERVATISM?

This is the year, the culmination of the co-opting of WORDS by the Republicans, much as the left has long known how to co-opt and redefine words and control the dialog by controlling the language.

SINCE WHEN was THIS not REAL CONSERVATISM: Make America great, build the military so strong that no one will attack it, stop drugs pouring over the border, stop illegals pouring over our borders and sucking our welfare systems dry, don't let the enemy (muslims) IN like a trojan horse, don't fund their resettlement here, cut the budget, cut the deficit, eliminate waste, fraud and duplication and redundancy, and TAKE CARE OF OUR VETERANS!

THAT is "conservative". ALL OUR LIVES that is CONSERVATIVE.

But...But....we are told NOW by Cruz, Rubio, the RNC, that we are phony conservatives. And that REAL conservatives believe the following:

The Cruzs and the GOPe and the globalists tell us that "real conservative" means "free trade agreements" like TPP, which screw the US to the brink of existence; promote the North American Union; open and uncontrolled borders and immigration; multiculturalism, like resettling muslim Syrians and Somalians by the hundreds of thousands in flyover country. Run trade deficits in the hundreds of billions and growing each year---approved by REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED CONGRESS, giving the LEFT everything on their wildest wish list. Export US jobs to other countries and allow them to ship their products back her with zero tariffs. Accept massive tariffs or complete prohibitions to get our goods into other countries while opening our borders to freely allow other countries to sell their products here with zero tariffs.

If you do not support THESE things, you are not a "real conservative." TRUMP and TRUMP supporters are phony conservatives because we do not support the end of US sovereignty, nationalism and patriotism.

The political class and globalists have twisted it so that Cruz-family globalism (500,000 more H1B highly skilled visas; massive increases in H2 visas for lettuce pickers; taking bribes from the banks who were GIVEN trillions of taxpayer money in 2008; remove all caps on work visas for China, Mexico and India, allowing them to take the remaining US STEM jobs until crony capitalists can finish exporting the jobs entirely.

He is my Senator too. If you can point to something concrete he has accomplished to stop the Obama agenda while he has been in the Senate, please enlighten me.

I won’t even say I was fooled. I just looked at Obama and said “no way”. I did the same with Gore and Kerry. But I knew it was the lessor of two evils.

They knew we would vote for whomever they put in front of us because they knew we didn’t want the opposition. That’s why they’re so afraid now. There’s someone running that we WILL vote for if he’s on their ticket. And they don’t want him on their ticket.

Personally, I’ll vote third party before I’ll vote for a republican establishment. Even if it’s Cruz. If he gets in bed with the rinos he might as well be a rino.

No, he is not a Republican:

—by supporting the Obama bailout;
—by supporting the Obama stimulus;
—by supporting Obamacare’s individual mandate;
—by refusing to totally void the Iran (support the terrorists) act;
—by repeatedly calling Planned Parenthood wonderful. He calls the leading company/agency that kills babies wonderful. They are evil...and Trump is evil for praising them

Californians know better than to go with the faux Republican after their years with the small-scale Donald Trump, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

This is what happened with the Arnold.

He came into the governor’s mansion vowing to lower the tax burden, impose some spending restraint and revive the state’s economy. Instead, he ended up signing a huge tax increase even as the state’s deficit spending continued and the debt nearly tripled under his watch. At one point, he pushed his own version of universal health care.

Would Mr. Trump fare any better? It’s hard to believe he would, not least because his commitment to freer markets and smaller government is even thinner than Mr. Schwarzenegger’s was.

To his fans, Mr. Trump is a hero challenging a testosterone-deprived GOP establishment on behalf of the people. In this world, actual experience with the workings of government becomes an indictment rather than an advantage.

As far as I’m concerned, Trump is a liberal New Yorker and fake Republican. He will destroy the country instead of saving it. He is an egotist of the highest order. If he messes up our nation further after Obama, his supporters on this website will have done much evil to their nation, but sadly many of them would still support him — even if he murdered someone, as he said. That’s sick.

>>>I voted for McCain and Romney and feel like I wasted both votes. Not again<<<

If you Voted for them in the Primaries, yes you wasted your Vote. Thankfully, I didn't Vote for either in the Primary Election.

If you Voted for them in the General Election, you did your best to stop the DemoncRats from destroying the Republic.

We were outnumbered and our Candidates did nothing to help us or themselves, especially in the final weeks of their Campaigns.

It was NOT Trump who appointed McConnell as majority leader, it was the entire Senate.

He was selected by a voice vote and unanimously. They didn't take roll call of course. I get a feeling Cruz was not one of those that said "yea".

We do know Cruz had the wavos to call him a "liar", it even woke up McCain enough to defend his buddy Mitch.

"[Mitch] has proven to be a very effective Democratic leader." - Cruz

The People will decide who their nominee will be, not the GOP Establishment.

I don't know what these bitter would-be Establishment "gatekeepers" think they're trying to pull, but I've never in my life seen a party attack its frontrunner like this.

If the GOPe doesn't watch out, they're going to foment the total disintegration of their beloved party.

The GOP will be fine with Trump as its nominee, because that is will of the GOP voters, apparently.

But if the hysterical Establishment tries to actively thwart the will of the People, its own party constituents, they do so at their own risk.

We've currently got a situation wherein the Republican electorate is magnitudes more energized than the Democrat party is, to the point that the Democrats should get obliterated in the general election.

But it appears that the Establishment is so afraid of losing their power, that they're apparently willing to risk all of that by throwing a tantrum over the Peoples' choice.

The Establishment had better step aside and let the People choose a nominee without interference from them.

If they don't get their heads straight pretty quick, they're going to squander all the enthusiasm, passion, and energy that is being built up.

If Ted Cruz can convince the People to vote for him instead of Donald Trump, them that's fine.

But if Cruz instead starts working with the traitorous GOPe in attempting something sleazy or underhanded, then that's exactly the kind of thing that will destroy the party and put Hillary in the White House.

If Cruz sells his soul to the GOP Establishment in order to pull some kind of stunt, then neither he nor the GOP will survive politically.

So if the GOP Establishment, William Kristol and his ilk really wants to play with fire, they'd better watch out, because they're very likely to get burned if they do.

In the coming weeks, it's going to become quite obvious who the traitors really are...

It’s so funny to hear you talk about Cruz selling out the voters for the Establishment. THERE IS NO ONE IN THE CONGRESS WHO HAS STOOD UP FOR THE PEOPLE THE WAY CRUZ HAS. He called out McConnell for his lies and endured a massive shunning from the Washington elites. It isn’t Cruz who draws praise from Bob Dole, Jimmy Carter and Scott Brown. That “honor” goes to Trump.

The polls all show Cruz doing better against Hillary than Trump.

8 months out, those polls are utter garbage, and you know that.

Do you know how far an un-nominated reagan was behind incumbent Jimmy Carter in March of 1980? Probably about 30 points.

And that still didn't work out too well for Carter, did it? SO you can repeat such meaningless polls ad infinitum, but they are nothing but the feeble last resort of an abject propagandist.

The fact that Cruz supporters would cite them is a testament to the absolute desperation which they must be feeling.

Hypothetical matchup polls, 8 months out, and before the party nominations are even decided, are simply laughable.

Please, please try some other argument, because this one makes Cruz supporters sound downright silly...

Until then, Ted Cruz is eligible to become president. Another fact that just can't be altered no matter how one may feel personally.

That's all well and good, but it doesn't mean that the issue won't be used against Cruz during the general election cycle, were he to become the nominee.

Sometimes perception is more important than facts in the mind of low-information voters...

If Ted Cruz is trying to use things like the David Duke BS to smear Trump, then he's being a totally disingenuous liar, because he knows Trump isn't racist.

I'm losing more and more respect for Cruz as he tries to to his best Marco Rubio imitaion.

Did you see the two winking at each other and shaking hands behind Trump's back the other day at the debate?

Cruz appears poised to sell his soul to the Devil in exchange for a big push from the GOP Establishment, and he seems content to let their Yellow journalism stand unrebuked.

If that's how Ted Cruz plans to make headway in this process, then the GOP is going to destroy itself, as well as its chances of winning the White House in November.

The enthusiasm gap will disappear and Hillary will be a shoo in. But only if the GOP meddles in the nomination process...
