Yeah, but the odds of at least someone on earth winning a lottery are pretty good.

I’ve made a list of places on the other side of the world that need a big rock from space to replace the one they already worship.

The consequences of an asteroid impact will still be small compared to man-made global warming. s/

Interesting thought. It would see logical.

Of course you’ve never seen me play golf either.

Anything logical evaporates at the first motion of my club.

Never mind the Moon! Earth’s diameter is nominally 8000 miles, so the chance of anything within 11000 miles of hitting the earth actually hitting is, nominally, (4/(11+4))^2 = 16/225 = ... ( calculator please! ) 0.07, assuming equal probability per unit area of cross section.

In other words ... that’s close!

That was great game! Who would have imagined then how different things would be today? Crap! I’m sounding like that guy that wears dress socks with shorts and yells at the kids to get off his lawn.

“Perhaps it can be diverted to mecca or medina. It would be fitting.”

A direct strike on Congress might be fitting also.

LMAO!!!! Holy cow, the quarters I spent on that thing in the early 80s. There use to be this bar right around the corner from me when I lived in Queens New York that had a table with Asteroids built right in on it, meaning the TV screen was laid flat in the table and a clear plastic table top put over it and me and my friends use to have Asteroid championships, we would bet money who could last the longest, get the highest score and every time your ship got destroyed you had to drink lol lol We would literally play till closing, it was nuts. Wow I remember that like it was yesterday, it was a real sleaz-o bar with a lame jukebox that had maybe 10 songs and it would play Olivia Newton Johns song “Physical” over and over and over and over because it was broken lol lol No matter what button you pushed it would play Physical
