RE: Really? After “nevertrump” and strongly insinuating that Trump’s supporters are Klansmen?

That was Jake Tapper, and the MSNBC crowd. Who in the GOP crowd is calling Trump a KKK supporter?

Sasse running third party is Sasse losing his seat. He’s not going to do that. He’s probably playing to his constituency.

From the website:

“Sasse also supports legal status for illegal immigrants”

Sessions said. "Some say 'You know, you just need to let the people calm down a little bit, and they'll forget it, and let it all go.'

Hmm so that's what the GOPE tells their people. If they don't go for that, the GOPE turns up the heat until people like Sasse stand up and claim they think Rubio is the best guy for president.

Rubio tweeted #Nevertrump. Cruz attacked Trump for his Tapper interview saying it was “really sad”.

We’ve past the point of return on this. Trump is ahead and the GOP have turned up the volume to 11. Too much is at stake with TPP & amnesty. Billions. So now we need to choose a side: GOP/Dem uniparty vs. Main Street America.

Record is mixed, it also says:

Sasse has also introduced legislation that would eliminate the practice of assigning Social Security numbers to illegal immigrants.

I’ll take your word that Sasse is a conservative. But he sure is drinking the puppetmasters Koolaid if he doesn’t get it that without Trump, certain things we clamor for will NEVER happen. The threat not to vote for Trump plays into their hands.

Sessions endorsement will help get those “cross over” voters from the democrats...oh wait...

5-8 million of the conservative base will never vote for a North East liberal. It will cost us the Senate, the Court, and much much more.

All that work the Tea-Party did....for nothing.

Well, you can “pretend” we got a wall, a flat tax and everything else Donny the democrat promised...before he gets crushed in the general.

But it surely has been fun! ENJOY THE DREAMERS! They'll be plenty of them to enjoy.

Sasse is an arrogant, bombing throwing, Ivy League you know what. I wouldn’t put it past him switching parties once we get POTUS Trump. Nebraska has had plenty of Dem Senators and I’m sure he thinks he could pull it off.

Sasse was a university president. What does that tell you he thinks of the poorly educated?

The pledge was between candidates, not between the candidates and every elected Republican.

At this point, it doesn't really matter any more. Trump is going to be the nominee, and there are substantial numbers of Republicans who won't vote for Trump. At the same time, though, a great many of Trump's supporters have said they won't vote for anyone except Trump.

The party is split, and all the Kings horses and men aren't going to be able to put it back together prior to the election.

I think that a Conservative 3rd party is a real possibility...would be a Kamikaze mission the first go-round and it could guarantee a Hildy Presidency...but, look at the current likely choices...Clinton versus Trump...both are big-government Liberals! What are true Conservatives going to do given this choice? Many will consider staying home...or...

Reality intrudes once again.

There is no likely path that either Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio are suddenly going to turn into a serious breakout challenger to the impressive hold that The Donald now has on the imagination of the American people. Of all the candidates, the media seizes and holds onto every opportunity to showcase The Donald, and it is as if nobody else is even in the race. Even Herself does not get the kind of exposure on TV, day in and day out, that The Donald can get, often without even asking.

Of the other candidates, probably Bernie Sanders can manage to attract a crowd of the magnitude that The Donald does, but it is of a much narrower demographic than The Donald routinely draws upon. Bernie can get the college crowd, and the politically naive, but The Donald draws from the much broader slice of the middle class, from blue-collar to many mid-level entrepreneurs, a goodly portion of the minorities (except Muslims), and this cuts across gender and age brackets. Much of his crowd are not even nominally Republican, being largely the “uncommitted” who are neither Republican or Democrat, and who have not the least idea of what constitutes either a “liberal” or a “conservative”, but they like what The Donald is saying, and they agree resoundingly to the stream-of-consciousness spiel that The Donald can deliver, hours on end.

The Donald can generate a degree of enthusiasm rarely seen for any candidate, and he is drawing out people that have not voted in YEARS, and isn’t that where the next election is going to be won or lost?

Sasse didn't say that he was going to run third party himself. He said he wasn't going to support Trump and would likely vote third party.

He makes RubotoCruz look like senior $inators! He has a whole year of great records in the $inate.

Sasse assumed office as a United States Senator on January 3, 2015. He was officially sworn in when the 114th United States Congress convened on January 6, 2015.
