Watch Marco Rubio Hilariously Explain Why His Surrogates Can’t Name His Accomplishments
mediaite.com ^ | 2:10 pm, February 28th, 2016 | Tommy Christopher

There was considerable mockery after former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) spectacularly failed to name a single Rubio accomplishment when he endorsed Rubio a few weeks ago, but it eventually died down.

Then, Nevada Congressman Rep. Cresent Hardy ran into the same problem this week. On this week’s Fox News Sunday, Chris Wallace (who previously laid waste to Rubio’s small list of accomplishments) asked Rubio why his surrogates can’t name a single accomplishment, and Rubio’s response was just stunning:

WALLACE: Senator, why can’t officials who support you, who come out to endorse you, name a specific accomplishment of your time in the Senate?

RUBIO: Well, in fairness to these folks, right, they’re signing up at the last second. They’re inspired by our message. They want to be a part of our team. We haven’t provided them, you know, all this information. I’m more than happy to tell you about my record. I’m very proud of it.

WALLACE: Incidentally, maybe you ought to start doing that, huh?

RUBIO: For example, we passed sanctions — yes, well, we are, and we do, but we, obviously, you can’t make people read something. And these are last minute things. It’s not fair to them.

You read that right, folks, Marco Rubio is blasting Marco Rubio for unfairly asking people to endorse him without providing them a list of his accomplishments, or forcing them to read it. Amazing.

If someone on his campaign thought this up, they should be fired. If this was Rubio calling an audible, then I guess we can dispel with the fiction that Marco Rubio knows what he’s doing.

Gosh no. Fire no one. Let them all continue as they are.

A snippet from Conservative Treehouse makes it clear how this can possibly be:

At the most basic of level we must remember candidate Marco Rubio was never supposed to be the GOPe’s standard bearer for the professional republican party. It simply was not his role.

A single-term, 44-year-old, freshman senator, with a wife, four kids, no accumulated wealth and no executive experience, does not independently mount a long-shot bid to become the chief executive office holder amid the power-elites who run the highest political offices.

Rubio was/is ‘a means’ – to an end. Rubio does not represent the end goal, he never did.

the “end” of course, was to spilt the FL vote so that Jeb! could win those 99 delegates with 15-20% of the vote. It was the ultimate humiliation when the GOPe had to pull their annointed candidate out, leaving only Little Marco as the alternative.

He would be a good match for Hillary. Rupio’s supporters could compete with Hillary’s to see who could be the first to come up with an accomplishment.

“Calling an audible”<p.

I love that term for politics. Actually I like all football analogies for politics.

Rubio is trying to outdo Hillary is stupidity:
Hillary’s “accomplishments” as stated by Hillary:

“My accomplishments as Secretary of State? Well, I’m glad you asked! My proudest accomplishment in which I take the most pride, mostly because of the opposition it faced early on, you know, the remnants of prior situations and mind-sets that were too narrowly focused in a manner whereby they may have overlooked the bigger picture, and we didn’t do that, and I’m proud of that. Very proud. I would say that’s a major accomplishment.”

Rubio’s “accomplishments:

“...we passed sanctions — yes, well, we are, and we do, but we, obviously, you can’t make people read something. And these are last minute things. It’s not fair to them...”

ROFL...

I’m not a Rubio man, but I’ll try:

Rubio added language to make it harder for Obama to bail out insurance companies on Obamacare without breaking the law.

Rubio took out Charlie Crist, who was actually bandied in 2010 as possible prez material, but is not a punch line.

And, and, I’m thinking . . .

He is standing up to Trump. That's a considerable accomplishment.

Jeb ruined the GOP plot/plan. Jeb ate up so much of the GOP war chest against Trump he had nothing left after South Carolina. He dropped out because he has no idea how to function with no money. By dropping out he ruined the playbook the GOP had and that is why they punted to Rubio.

Cruz is disliked by the GOP as much as Trump - maybe more - but Cruz has zero cross over appeal and he has shown a willingness to join the GOPe on immigration and free trade.

Folks, Trump is noticed for his loud NYC style but the message his base gravitates to is to correct the unfair free trade and end illegal immigration. They also don' want to get involved in overseas wars of choice and are tired of PC crap. That is something none of the mainstream candidates can offer.

That is too funny. Rubio hasn’t accomplished anything other than fooling voters into believing he would support conservative issues.

I am sure Hillary and her team will never be so mean as to ask Rubio what he’s accomplished if he’s the nominee. The man has accomplished nothing.

well here’s mine:

It’s Trump U vs. the GOPe, and the score is 42-3. When star QB Jeb! failed to score even after a pep talk with his brother and mom at halftime, Coach Priebus pulled him with 5 minutes to go in the 4th quarter and sent true freshman “Little Marco” in to extract victory from the jaws of defeat.

(Here’s a little known truth about Little Marco: He actually did play college football, first at tiny Tarkio College in Missouri where he received a scholarship. Tarkio as in “Tarkio Road” the iconic 1970 album by highly popular hippies and dopers “Brewer and Shipley”.)
