I never said we have a right to know.
The press, the clergy, medical professionals, have a responsibility to maintain confidentiality. Carson isn't held in any way from telling the contents of a private conversation because of those constraints. He may still choose to not provide details however. Common courtesy to keep private conversations private would probably be the main thing for him. But the Fourth Amendment isn't applicable at all.
“More likely its the GOP, not Trump, thats trying to buy Carson.”
Anything is possible, but it is hard to tell given Carson’s hint of “deals” and Trump’s history of buying politicians and bragging about “deals” at every turn.
Reagan was this last free elected President and they swore it would never happen again. But here we are with a chance to do it again and this is the last chance.
According to greenpapers, he’s got $4M in his campaign chest (that’s not necessarily up to date), but it would be as much money as Patrick Murphy on the D side, twice as much as Alan Grayson, and twice as much as any other Republican.
The filing deadline is May 6.
Senators appointed to remaining time on a term don’t have that great of a track record. If this is something that Carson wants, he should go for it without making a deal.
“Trump has treated him very well, and Trump can protect Ben.”
Except to call him a pedophile when Ben momentarily jumped Trump in an Iowa poll, Trump has always treated him well.
I expect after Tuesday when it’s completely settled Trump is viable, the floodgates will be wide open with defectors.
I think it was someone wanting him to drop out and support Rubio. Make him a Senator? Rubios seat is up for grabs - so, this came from a special interest group supporting Rubio. At least, this is my opinion.
Exactamundo. Carson lives in Florida. So the quid pro quo would be: Drop out, endorse Rubio and we will fund/manage your FL Senate campaign. This has cabana boy’s finger prints all over it.
Do you remember who stood with Carson when he missed his cue on the ABC debate?
And all the establishment folks took a pass?
Oh, that’s right, it was Trump.
Maybe that is when things solidified between them.
Trump has treated him very well, and Trump can protect Ben.
Except to call him a pedophile when Ben momentarily jumped Trump in an Iowa poll, Trump has always treated him well.
Yet Dr. Carson doesn’t say a negative word about Trump. It seems only Cruzies are “bothered” by it. Interesting.
Judy in Canada did, to which I was replying, to which you were replying.
Carson isn't held in any way from telling the contents of a private conversation because of those constraints.
If there was a contract governing the confidentiality of the conversation, yes, he is. Got it now?
But the Fourth Amendment isn't applicable at all.
Once it is agreed to hold the conversation confidential, its content becomes the property of BOTH parties. For its release, they would have to both agree. We would have no claim on it until they did.
“Do you remember who stood with Carson when he missed his cue on the ABC debate?”
Looked to me Rump had no choice. Other candidates were being called, so he missed his entrance. So, he hung out with Carson until their names were called again.
Don’t read too much into it. If you do, then you must question the hearing of Rump.
“Yet Dr. Carson doesnt say a negative word about Trump. “
May be Carson is too afraid to go after Rump. Rump does throw feces around.
Well, you completely misrepresented what happened.
Trump’s hearing is excellent—he can hear what people are shouting to him when he makes a speech and responds to them.
Nothing wrong with his hearing.
Trump saw Carson’s predicament and made an executive decision to stand with him until the moderators realized their mistake.
On the spot thinking.
No debate prep required.
Carson would be a good head of the VA to reform its hospitals, HHS Secretary, definitely Surgeon General.
As President, we have better options, though he’s better than either Democrat.
I don’t think Trump will have to buy Carsons endorsement.
Once it is agreed to hold the conversation confidential, its content becomes the property of BOTH parties. For its release, they would have to both agree. We would have no claim on it until they did.
The Fourth Amendment reads "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated..."
If Carson agreed to confidentiality, the party whose confidentiality was violated could sue him for breach of contract, but I don't know what the damages would be that they would claim. But there is no Fourth Amendment issue here. The Constitution is a limit on the powers of the government. There is no search and no seizure involved in Carson telling what somebody offered him.
The uniparty ;(
Trump benefits with Carson in. So probs the GOPe
Was it also an “executive” decision to take his belt off and call Carson a pedophile?
I don’t know—why don’t you ask Trump about it?
