Most likely, they want Carsons endorsement for Rubio or Cruz.

They do not want Carson taking up valuable air time in the debates. They want their guy to have more time to tag team Trump.

They do not like Carson around because it is a reminder of what happened in Iowa.

Carson lives in Florida. Who can ensure that Carson would become the Florida Republican Senator?

Sounds like the plan is for Romney to swoop in, for Rubio to be the VP and then Rubios seat is open. Wow, keep exposing them Dr Carson. Keep exposing them.

They made Hillary a Senator by “retiring” Moynihan, followed by Gillebrand in NY. And then there’s the case of Tim Scott in SC.

If my neighbor tells me something, I don't need to get a court order to approve my retelling the conversation to someone else. The Fourth Amendment limits what government can do, not what private individuals can reveal about conversations they've been a party to.

I don’t know the law but could the offer of money to drop out of an election be criminal to those involved with the offer and anyone excepting the money.

Sounds like it. Which is why whoever left the message or had informal off the record discussions with Carson are now squirming.

Additionl, Romney supposedly tried to do the same thing with Kasich. The RNC is walking a fine line with their threats. Hope the moles continue to spill the details of the hush hush RNC meetings. Mitch McConnell also sounds like he might be making threats against the front running Presidential Candidate. Stuff movies are made of. They probably need to back off with their threats against Trump.

Specifically, if quid pro quo offers lead back to the Koch brothers, Mitt Romne, Mitch McConnell, George H Bush or Gov Haley Barbor regarding their attempt to take out Trump, they need to be held accountable. Especially McConnell and Barbour as they are federal and state employees and would not want to be found threatening or bribing the Republican front runner or any other candidates.

They are hoping for Romney/Rubio ticket or worst case scenario, Rubio at the top of the ticket.

I had no idea Ben’s 3% was that valuable to anyone.

Apparently the fact that Carson continues to stay in the election matters very much to the RNC. Who would have thought Carson would last longer than Bush? Bush got out to pave the way for a Romney/Rubio hail Mary. Carson and Kashich are taking up valuable air time in the debates. They want Rubio and Cruz to gang up on Trump in the debates.

In common law, quid pro quo indicates that an item or a service has been traded in return for something of value, usually when the propriety or equity of the transaction is in question.

In the U.S., lobbyists are legally entitled to support candidates that hold positions with which the donors agree, or which will benefit the donors. Such conduct becomes bribery only when there is an identifiable exchange between the contribution and official acts, previous or subsequent, and the term quid pro quo denotes such an exchange.

It almost sounds like they are implying that senators are made behind the scenes, not elected. Which I wouldn’t doubt anymore.

Case in point: Hillary "I always was a Yankee fan" Clinton, who was given a NY Senate seat in 2000, following in the footsteps of Bobby Kennedy who got the same prize in 1964 since Ted already held the "family seat" in MA that he inherited from his brother Jack. Neither had any obvious prior connection to NY State.

More likely it’s the GOP, not Trump, that’s trying to buy Carson.

What gets me about Carson is he has never spoken out about Obama-s abuse of the Bully Pulpit and the resultant conflicts plus assults and murders that came from it. Begining with revenge for Treyvon Martin attacks on non blacks by black gangbangers which resulted in about a score (20) of deaths and serious injuries. Then on to attacks and riots in Ferguson. It also led to asassinations of police officers.

One who has spoken out about it is Miilwaukee county Sheriff David Clarke (D) who by the way is ran for re election this month and won handily in the Wisconsin primary Feb 16th .

When Carson held a brief but 24% lead in the Iowa polls Trump typically resorting to his WWF daze and drags this campaign down which should have been of substance.

Set out WWF syle and accused Carson of being everything from a pedophile, crazy, and questionable surgeon involved in abortions. Trump was unrelenting and cost Carson his polling lead during the November lead up. But Trump could have phrased his response to questions about that issue instead of throwing krap at Carson. Which if Trump makes it just demonstrates just how he will will conduct himself as POTUS.

Does Carson seriously believe Trump would consider him for VP as reported earlier ? The man should really formally drop out and use the remaining time to fund raise and clean up his campaign debts.

Dr. Carson needs to drop out of the race after Wednesday, and to support Trump.

Trump has treated him very well, and Trump can protect Ben.

Christie is an insider who has defected to Trump, with the knowledge of the GOP-E’s plans to destroy Trump.

Rubio, Cruz and Kasich are insiders, who will do the GOP-E’s bidding.

Only Trump has the guts and the momentum to defeat the GOP-E and to defeat Hillary, Biden, Warren or whoever the Dems nominate this summer.

Ben needs to come under Trump’s umbrella.

Like Christie did.

Make no mistake—it was an act of political courage to do what Christie did. I am no fan of his, but I do recognize what he has risked to join Trump at this point in time.

Trump is our only hope for a good future for America, and to wrest it free from the special interests that have a chokehold on her now.

“They want Rubio and Cruz to gang up on Trump in the debates.”

After Trump sweeps the SEC primaries I recommend that he refuse to appear on that rigged debate game show any longer. Trump should say that enough is enough and that these cage matches are hurting the party, and if the losers want to continue to debate each other, that’s fine with him, but winners don’t need to debate losers anymore, and he’s now focusing exclusively on taking Hillary out.

In other words, my advice to Trump is to skip ALL future debates. Why should a lion like Trump allow himself to be caged with a pack of Hyenas after making his big kill?

That's correct. If however, Carson was told this as a matter of confidence, then it was a contract not to release it. It's up to the participants to release that information. We don't have a RIGHT to it, as you were saying.

It’s got to be Florida or Maryland where he has homes— I’m guessing Florida, since Maryland is a lost cause for Republicans anyway. I’m not even sure he still has a home in Maryland; but he mentioned “going home to Florida” recently.
