Wait til next Tues and I’m going to take a guess that number will change in Trump’s favor.

How sad you think helping veterans and creating thousands of PRIVATE SECTOR jobs is doing nothing for the country.

Oh good grief. MILLIONS of rich, middle class and poor guys give money/support to Veteran's causes. While I appreciate the money Trump has given.....I appreciate every other single American that does the same.

And Private Sector jobs? Men and Women (rich and middle class) do the same thing, day in and day out.......it's called doing BUSINESS ....and they don't expect medals or to be given the highest office in the country just because they provide jobs.

How many jobs has Cruz created

I'm not applying for a job...so I couldn't care less if Cruz runs a business or not. I'm looking for a man willing to FIGHT to preserve our liberty and protect our country.....not some dude who I think MIGHT make me rich because he's a rich man himself. If I remember correctly....the "rich guy" shtick has already been done by the GOPe....remember Romney?

and what exactly has he done for us in Texas?

What has Ted Cruz DONE FOR HIS COUNTRY? He sure wasn't sitting around building hotels/casinos, hobnobbing with Democrats/Hollywood and getting richer while the country was going to hell in a hand basket:

2000......without Cruz's help, Al Gore would have been President and old Gore would have started the destruction of the United States 8 years EARLIER than Obama did.

1999-2003 Fighting for policies that protected Americans as Director of the Office of Policy Planning at Federal Trade Commission and Associate Deputy Attorney General at Dept of Justice.

2003-2008 PROTECTING TEXANS as Solicitor General. Authored 70 United States Supreme Court briefs and presented 43 oral arguments, including nine before the United States Supreme Court. You can do your own research on those...but these are the bigger ones:

Cases won:

Van Orden v. Perry (religious liberty case WON)

District of Columbia v. Heller (gun rights case WON) Cruz drafted the amicus brief signed by the attorneys general of 31 states, which said that the D.C. handgun ban should be struck down as infringing upon the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Cruz also presented oral argument for the amici states in the companion case to Heller before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

Salazar v. Buono While in private practice, Cruz fought atheists who were trying to get a Veteran's memorial Cross destroyed in the Mojave Desert, pro bono for four Veteran's groups. (NOTE....Cruz was actually FIGHTING FOR VETERANS instead of just talking about it or throwing money at the problem.)

But the case that actually attracted MOST TEXANS attention was in 2008, in Medellin v. Texas. Bush and others tried to get Medellin (an illegal alien rapist/murderer) OFF DEATH ROW. They were also trying to get another 40/50 ILLEGALS ALIENS in jail for crimes..."freed" by using foreign laws like the Geneva Convention (hint, hint....they were saying Texas should have to LIVE BY FOREIGN LAWS instead of Texas/US law.) Cruz BEAT THEM.....in a 6 to 3 decision. The Supreme Court said that International Court of Justice decisions were not binding in domestic law and that the President had no power to enforce them. Would you like to compare Trump's HIRING illegals/foreigners for his businesses to Cruz FIGHTING to make sure illegal aliens paid for their crimes against Texans?

BTW, I researched Cruz BEFORE I ever voted for him to go to Washington in 2012 and I've watched him ever since. I am NOT basing my vote on "recent" hearsay or "hope" that he will do the things he says he will do on the campaign trail..... as you have to do with Trump...because Cruz has already PROVEN to me that he will fulfill his promises. The bottom line.......Cruz has EARNED my vote, as a Texan. Any other questions?

Well said.

Here’s a question:

If a RAT Senator that starts running for POTUS the second he walks onto the Senate floor, like Obama, that’s bad.

But when a Republican Senator (Rafael Cruz de Canada) does the exact same thing, that’s good?

The Cruzbots are many, many things, hypocritical being chief among them.

Went to Lincoln Reagan Dinner in Houston tonight. Big Cruz contingency. Speakers included Gov. Abbott (who endorsed Cruz today), Cruz, and Carson. Carson stole the show with his humor, stories. Cruz seemed to be a defeated man. Sadly, no Trump appearance.

Brother, you really ought to back away and clear your mind of all this for a day or two. You’ve hit the teeth baring stage.

“It is proportional.”

Yes and no.

If a candidate earns more than 50% of the vote, it becomes winner take all. If no candidate hits 50%, it stays proportional.

I recently read something interesting from an excerpt of a study someone posted here.

The key finding was that, no Republican candidate in modern times, has won the nomination without winning the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries.

That bit of historical minutiae doesn’t bode well for Ted’s chances.

I see you, too, caught the abject Alinsky technique being used on a solid and reliable Conservative in the Senate, Ted Cruz, the anti-Obamacare fillibusterer, somebody whom a mere 6 months ago had no detractors on Free Republic. You correctly point out how irrational group-think works on cult of personality mental dynamics. So sad to see good ol FR turn this way

If anyone would appreciate Trump’s repeated decisive victories using non-conventional strategy and tactics and far less cash than most of the other candidates... one would think it would be someone who calls himself Patton@Bastone.

Cruz appears now to be in third place. Being a lifelong baseball fan, I know that 3rd place isn’t insurmountable. I also know that with one month to go that a 3rd place team has to make its move, and especially if the first place team is 5 or 6 games up. It must make its move now and not later.

How's Trump doing among Trumpanzees who PENN a manufactured "confrontation"... (and then retract it)?

Letter from the President | Retracting an erroneous post

By COLIN HENDERSON Ã£Æ’» 02/23/16 11:41pm

...round 2 a.m. on Sunday, we discovered from another Cruz staffer that the book in question in the video was the Bible, and we updated the post accordingly. But this significantly changed the meaning of Rubio's words as originally transcribed, as it now purported to show Rubio pointing to the Bible and saying "not a lot of answers in there." Later, the accuracy of that transcription was brought into question due to the unclear audio; upon returning to Philadelphia Sunday evening, we updated the post to reflect uncertainty over what was said...

But Cruz Communications Director Rick Tyler had shared the original post on Twitter and Facebook earlier Sunday.
