50 years ago, that was the norm, and at least she’s MARRIED!
Just like there was going to be free health care that has clobbered social security and medicare funds, and has cost more money to everyone above the poverty level. Promises from liberals or socialists, (same thing), are there to put out a fire before they start another one whether they put it out with water or gasoline. They always seem to be short of water.

Humans are most biologically suited to bearing chldren in their 20s. Societal norms of marriage and childbearing into the 30s and 40s are against how people are designed. Seems this young lady has her priorities in better order than society in general, not that society has set the bar particularly high.

The 40 wealthiest universities in the USA control something like $415 BILLION in endowments. All tax free.
Schools like Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Stanford have anywhere from $1.5-$2.0 million in endowments PER student. They have become giant hedge funds with colleges attached to them.
I want to hear Bernie say - I am going to TAX endowments of these universities to pay for my “free” college plans.
Let the lefties and elitists at these schools then respond

Bernie wants to give me free education and as a full time worker I will pay higher taxes to support my free education?
No disrespect to enlisted personnel, but the pay differential was huge back then, too.
I wonder if college profs and administrators would be ok with free college if the profs and administrators were required to contribute to the freeness by accepting $40,000 a year salaries?
Up until that moment, she liked Bernie. I then had to explain to her that Hillary would do the same thing, but lie about how she won’t raise your taxes.
