Nowadays, I take the camera out with me to photograph the bolts. It's probably a good thing the rain ran me inside the night I got the pic below. It hit about a hundred yards away as I was shooting through the bedroom window.

What’s going with the snow up there? I keep checking the radar and it’s like watching for rain here ...... like there’s a barrier that keeps it from rolling over us.
It’s showing snow all around Anchorage but there’s a gap and you’re in it. Like you’re under a dome.
I thought we were the only folks who got stuck under a dome like that. :-)

Thanks, but it’s just for the weekend. Tomorrow morning I’m off to the mountain retreat for another week with no cell reception or Interwebs - but, lots of critters and guitars.
