You’re right. As such it will be decided by an examination of statutory law. Ted Cruz is undeniably a citizen under statutory law.

Trump does not know what he is talking about. You don’t just call up a judge and ask them to make a ruling. Somebody has to file suit and trump doesn’t have the guts to do it.

Actually, the 1790 law says “shall be considered as natural born citizens,” NOT “...are Natural Born Citizens.”
Washington then turned around in 1795 and signed a law that repealed the 1790 law and removed the words “natural born”.
In Madison’s words, “Gee, I don’t think Congress has the right to define, or redefine, terms in the Constitution.”
No court will declare Ted Cruz ineligible. And if he is elected, Congress will certify the election.

Cruz is the best shot we have of saving the very Constitution you claim to venerate.
Do you venerate the 16th amendment with the same fervor that you venerate your interpretation of the Natural Born Citizen clause? It’s the constitution, you know.
