I have been an employer for 40 years. No employee has ever spent a cent on the unemployment tax.
That is not what I said.
Because what you said makes no sense.
Add the words ‘to me’ to your reply above and you will be correct.
You have some good advise in your post.
I’m fortunate that I have decent medical coverage through work but I did have to give up my privacy via the wellness plan.
If they move to negative interest rates than it really will make sense to stock up on things at Cosco, rather than keep money in the bank.
I have heard your argument numerous times over the years. But the person is usually in high school and hasn’t had any real life experience.
Here in NJ we have a deduction SUI - state unemployment insurance. We do contribute to it (and our benefits are tied to those contributions).
Good point.
Here in NJ (and throughout the Northeast) we have two problems that will strangle any commerce: As one of the older settled parts of the country, we have a crumbling infrastructure that must be replaced; we also have a swollen welfare population (a holdover from the exodus of manufacturing jobs coupled with disastrous “cash for breeding” programs) that must be housed, clothed, fed, and “schooled”. Asking any business to pick up the tab for these is impossible.
It figures that NJ would do that. Ain’t that way around here.
One attempt at busing (Englewood) simply drove whites to move or use private schools - much like “integration” in the South.
