Cruz started saying in debates recently that he would build a wall. Of course he said it in his typically mealy-mouthed, weaselly way, but he said it, right? So should he not step up and point out that he’s the target, also, of the Pope’s words?

My response would have been: “We’ve built bridges. They’re all along the border. They’re for law abiding people who want to come here legally.”
I read today that only 13% of the people in SC are Catholic. Most protestants are “tolerant” of Catholicism but get real upset when the Pope starts telling them what to do. So, you’re right. This will help Trump.
