“She got it with Christie and Romney too. You can have her.”

Thank you. Ole giraffe neck is out there jumping up and down trying to get attention, as always, with whatever bandwagon she can get on. She and Sarah Palin - double fail.

If the Trumpites listen to her, they are tone deaf as they are with the Rump.

“Sure does. If Trump does nothing more than toss political correctness into the trashcan of history, then he will have earned my vote.”

Your shallow analysis is exactly the kind of thinking that put Obama in office.

Romney hosed himself at the Candy Crawley debate, that would not be a problem with Trump (or even Cruz) neither have a problem taking on the media.

Hurricane Sandy helped Obama the most though. It wiped Romney right out of the new cycle, it was like he didn’t even exist during that time. Then election day and that was it.

And honestly, Christie should have ran in 2012

Donald Trump's latest bombshell, claiming the Bush administration lied about weapons of mass destruction to get us into the Iraq War, is just him doing wheelies on the way to the nomination.

What a line...and what a mental picture.

We are fed up with broken campaign promises. It looks like several candidates will say anything to get elected. So, here we go again.

Your shallow analysis is exactly the kind of thinking that put Obama in office.

Are you carried away with your feelings, or did you just fail to think through your insult?

Obama *promised* to "fundamentally transform" the United States of America; he paraded around that book "The Post American World" *while a candidate*; he openly used the race card on fellow Democrats, indicating he'd stop at nothing for power; and he rammed through an Unconstitutional Law (regardless of what the suborned John Roberts said) on Health Care; while overthrowing multiple governments in the Middle East in favor of a nascent caliphate; and oversaw in increase in the national debt, during his terms, equal to that of the entire HISTORY of the country prior to his Administration.

Not to mention the economy, the racial healing (Ferguson, Baltimore, Black Lives Matter, the non-prosecution of the Black Panthers for voter intimidation on film at the very door of a polling place), and failing to have Hillary arrested and charged with (at least) espionage and (at most) Treason.

He opposed sending a rescue team to Benghazi; he oversaw the legalization of gay marriage and did and "in your FACE" celebration including decorating the White House itself in rainbow lights; he spent (literally) HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS on vacations; he abandoned the short-lived populist uprising in Iran; he helped Iran on the path to nuclear weapons; and allowed China to build artificial islands in the South China Sea.

He explicitly used the IRS as a political weapon during the election (which was one of the charges of impeachment to have been preferred against Nixon) and allowed the IRS to destroy servers with the evidence despite a court order preserving them.

Trump makes hats saying "Make America Great Again."

I doubt your good faith.

This election is America’s last chance. If the electorate gets it wrong this country is doomed. And at that point I will no longer pay attention to what’s going on. I’ll simply enjoy my retirement the best I can and die when God calls me.

You know what really pisses me off about the whole Iraq War thing?

It's that I bought it. Hook, line, and sinker. I'm not a stupid man (no matter what some may believe), but I was completely taken in.

I believed the whole WMD thing with every fiber of my being. I believed we were justified in attacking Iraq. I was certain Saddam Hussein was just months away from nuking Israel or getting a nuke onto American soil.

Anything that GWB wanted, I was onboard, including TSA in the airports.

But then I grew weary of the Religion of Peace bs. I read an article on non-racial profiling in airports. What the hell? This whole Iraq War was sold to me on the basis of national safety, and now we were blurring those lines with politically correct nonsense?

And then one day I learned that Vice President Al Gore was pulled out of a line at an airport for a random search. Seriously? Don't get me wrong, I'm no fan or Al Gore, but did anyone think he was going to blow up a plane in a suicide mission?

That was too long, but anyway. There it is.

June 2001 -- three months before the attack committed by Arabs on U.S. commercial airlines -- the Bush administration undertook a study to ensure that Arabs were not being disproportionately stopped by airport security.

I did not know this before now!

When U.S. Airways ticket agent Michael Tuohey laid eyes on Mohamed Atta on the morning of 9/11, he got a "chill" and thought to himself, "If this guy doesn't look like an Arab terrorist, then nothing does." But then, he says, he gave himself a politically correct "slap," and handed Atta his ticket.

WHAT??? Never heard this before either!

Right now when I see all of these candidates, is there really any way for the electorate to “get it right”?

If Al Gore were a threat, ...hmmm.

Well, I had been going to say he would do it to lower the carbon footprint! /ba-dum t'ssssh>

But I see your point.

However, as to the WMDs...

1) Iraq had been fighting Iran tooth and nail, and both sides had suffered sickening casualties. Hussein may have done chemical weapons as either aa hedge against local Iranian breakthroughs, or a doomsday weapon against Iran. Somewhere on FR there was a post saying his purported nuclear program was just saber-rattling to scare Iran off, too.

2) Somewhere else on the web -- might have been Instapndit -- someone had a *very* well thought out article, that oftentimes politicians tell stupid lies, not because of the usual conspiracy theory, but because there is a national security risk of a totally different kind they're trying to distract from. That is, Hussein had chemical WMDs, but in order to get certain countries to join the coalition against him, the price was that we "allowed" the Russians to cart the WMDs up and move them to Syria, *BEFORE* doing our intensive search. Of course, that would've got the American people even angrier than the Dubai ports deal, so ...quick! say *anything* to distract the public!

Similar to how the scare over fluoridated water, was because fluorine was a by-product of above-ground nuclear testing, so we had to cover up the appearance of fluorine in the water: so, the water must be fluoridated "to protect our teeth against cavities". That's one urban legend, anyway. But it illustrates the point.

I utterly disagree with the "religion of peace" : my only question is whether the top government officials are bribed, blackmailed, or threatened with a combination of sudden cut off of the oil to Europe and activation of umpteen million sleeper Wahabbi terrorist cells, if they stop playing the Saudis' favorite tunes...

FReegards.

“Everyone who is concerned about being conservative or liberal or whatever needs to put all that aside till we get this country back great again...THEN worry about you political party.....”

Wow, do you ever have it wrong.

The left does Satan’s bidding. Saving this country, much less making it great, involves destroying the demonrats and the rest of the left.

Destroying them, so that they never, ever again have any voice in anything.

Put aside the fact that the liberals are working hard to destroy the country? Lunacy.

Who’s lying, the people who say those things are true, or those who say they aren’t?

If Saddam had no WMDs, what was it that he used to kill all those Kurds? Was it nerve gas, or did he just frown them to death?

Here's GWB himself saying that Iraq had no WMD's.

After the fact.

I believe the religion of peace bs came because Americans were taking their revenge out on people who look like Muslims.

My sister’s friend’s father bought a convenience store down in Texas and was shot in the head shortly after 9/11 because he wears a turban (Indian Sheik). I believe Texas executed the man a few years ago.

Carter started it. He picked Iran over Iraq because he thought they were more spiritually sound. He pulled the rug out from under the Shah and the Muslim jihad began. Never to end.

grey_whiskers, excellent rant, but you forgot to ask “What did the GOP do during all of this.”

They rolled over and played dead. Well, these RINOs can stay dead while people look for a real alternative to their endless, empty promises.
