Ted Cruz Preaches at South Carolina Church: "There Is a Spirit of Awakening, A Spirit of Revival… Sweeping This Country"
Senator Cruz spoke for an hour from the pulpit. News Channel 6 reported on the senator's visit.
Church goers say they were excited to hear Cruz talk about the biblical role of government and hear him proclaim the word of God.
"And people are waking up. There is a spirit of awakening and a spirit of revival. That is sweeping South Carolina and is sweeping this country," Cruz said.
"Just very interesting to hear his spiritual side to see if he is for real because some many people present themselves as Christians and they truly aren't." Community Bible Church Administrator David Klopfer said.
"And I do believe that as a nation, under God, that we should support a Godly man to be president of the United States of America," said Community Bible Church guest Nita Zachow.
Cruz told the churchgoers after his sermon, "I could not be more encouraged by the conservatives, by the evangelicals, that are unifying behind the campaign. If conservatives stand together we’re going to win.
How long did it take for Koskinen to revoke the church’s tax-exempt status? I’m sure the IRS can work Sundays in special cases like this...
There is no spirit of awakening or revival until there is the spirit of repentance and ways-mending. And I don’t see much of that.
Let us hope he’s right. Perhaps the Obama Presidency is inadvertently creating this awakening.
Remember back when conservatives didn’t much care for it when Carter sometimes sounded more like preacher-in-chief instead of Commander in Chief?
This man simply can’t get it done in the general.
How can anyone hear and see him perform and think this guy can beat Hitlery or socialist bernie?
How can you hear and see this man and think, this man can pull in independents and maybe a few liberals?
Obviously, from your multiple postings of that picture over the past weeks, that image of Cruz has really traumatized you.
Why is it that when I see that picture of cruz, I immediately think of Rev. Jim Jones?
I believe it is.
I'm not physicist, but I do understand the principle of every action having an equal and opposite reaction. Look at the awakening that followed Carter...and Obama is far worse than Carter.
He can be as religious as he wants.
This guy would get crushed in the general and now, with scalia passing, it is that much more important for us to get someone in there who will give us a chance of getting a conservative on the bench.

Ted said this today. There are so many lies in Ted’s statement here, but one he can’t possibly escape from is that he says “the one person” when at the debate, Trump listed two conservatives for consideration, neither of which are his sister.
I am not one to question people’s religious convictions, but it appears that Ted does not care about lying and spreading disinformation at all in order to trick people into voting for him. He makes good Christians look bad. It’s nauseating that this man goes around claiming that he wears “the armor of God”.
Cruz should become the Senate Chaplin, or just go ahead and get a megachurch somewhere, and he and Heidi could become the new Jim and Tammy.
Because you’re fixated on Rev. Jim Jones? You think he’s hot and wish he wouldn’t have died? We don’t know why you’re obsessed with Rev JJ. You should get that checked.

If God had wanted Ted Cruz to be President of The United States he wouldn’t have been born a natural born citizen of Canada.
Great point. The Clintons had this effect in the mid-1990’s if I remember correctly.
