Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) challenged Donald Trump on his view of Planned Parenthood during the GOP debate in South Carolina.
Cruz charged that Trump supports taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood.
"Where did I support it?" Trump asked repeatedly.
"You supported it when we were battling over defunding Planned Parenthood," Cruz said in return.
Trump said Cruz's statements were "a lot of lies."
"You said, 'Planned Parenthood does wonderful things and we should not defund it,'" Cruz pointed out.
"It does do wonderful things but not as it relates to abortion," Trump asserted. "Excuse me. Excuse me, there are wonderful things having to do with women's health ... But not when it comes to abortion."

More specifically, as a consequence of Trump evidently not knowing about the federal governments constitutionally limited powers and associated limited power to appropriate taxes, regardless if Planned Parenthood was the best thing that ever happened for family planning, it remains that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for anything like Planned Parenthood.
In fact, a previous generation of state sovereignty-respecting justices had clarified in broad terms that Congress is prohibited from appropriating taxes in the name of state power issues, essentially any issue that Congess cannot justify with its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers, vote-winning funding for anything like planned parenthood not among those powers.

Trump supporters need to get him up to speed on the federal governments constitutitonal limited powers, intluding its limited power to appropriate taxes.

When patriots elect Trump, Cruz, or whatever conservative they elect, they need to also elect a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will not only work within its Section 8-limited powers to support the new president, but also protect the states from unconstitutional federal government overreach.
Also, consider that such a Congress would probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.

I know Trump's fans, like the man himself, will call everyone who points out his own words that conflict with the things he says today, that everyone who questions him is a liar, is a loser, is stupid, is nothing at all but for some of us who aren't looking for the perfect candidate, have trouble with a guy who says, "Who you gonna believe me, or your own lyin' eyes?"
Sorry to burst Donald's bubble but Planned Parenthood does nothing, absolutely nothing good, unless you like lying about "treating victims of child sexual abuse (the only "treatment PP does is perform illegal abortions on ten year olds and refuse to report the adult abuser that brings her into PP for her abortion"); chop up babies and sell their little pre born parts for money; treat underage girls for venerial disease, again and refuse to report her adult abusers, who usually drive them to PP and wait for the child; etc!
So I'm also assuming that all Trump's supporters also think PP "does great work," or what I just wrote is a pack of lies!
So why did our republican majority run senate just approve a budget that funded it for two more years?
As if there aren’t other Women’s Health facilities in this country. What does PP do but kill children and throw condoms around? It doesn’t do mammograms, its “clinics” are filthy, the staff cold and disgusting. Its workers make a quick buck by selling the parts of murdered babies. Women do not need PP. Tell that to the GOPe and so-called conservatives, including Cruz, in Congress that fully funded them. Trump said no abortion funding. Of course with the great Obamacare program, I am not even sure why we need planned parenthood at all. I thought we all get free medical procedures now.
Resource to find health clinics, including those for low-income patients. No woman needs Planned Parenthood for real health care ... as opposed to killing.
