Moderator: someone who leads a discussion in a group and tells each person when to speak : someone who moderates a meeting or discussion

Let’s see ... lefty `moderators’ picked a fight with Cruz, actually debating with the candidate, and they’re trying to sneak up behind and land rabbit punches on Trump and the other candidates.
The moderators did all they could do to spray atomized flammable accelerants on an already volatile personality, to wit, Trump ... and the next morning this lefty Slate pinhead acts surprised, disappointed and even outraged that yet another GOP “debate” turned into a Jerry Springer show with the Sweets `Ballroom Blitz’ as theme music.
Mr Rogers meets Blue Boy.
They used a play pen and not a cage for that one.

But yes Trump was a bit hostile. WHY? Because he was pissed off that the audience was stacked against him BY CBS. Also, there is some discussion that the applause/boos audio was enhanced/overdubbed by CBS.
