When has Hugh Hewitt been right about anything? He is hardly the political genius he thinks he is.
I think you see the certainty of Trump’s SC win reflected in his comfort level with going positive, promising to eliminate all vulgar words, etc. All upbeat, optimistic from here on out.
Let Cruz be Mr. Negative. By the 21st, Trump should have about 50 delegates, and depending on how the counties each vote, perhaps many more.
Its easy to see at this point that the GOP voters are starting to coalesce around Trump as the guy to win the general election and be the best change agent in the Whitehouse. But that being said its hard for Cruz supporters to accept this. I would say its going to take wins in SC and NV before they realize its basically over.
They will come along eventually, maybe reluctantly. The only people I count out 100% are the Randians. Those guys just are nuts.
Once Trump gets through the SEC everybody will hop on board the Trump train and start looking toward the general election just as we all did in 2012. Only this time we have a really good chance of winning.
Hewitt in the last year has gone totally nuts. He is veering hard left.
