1. If your college allows you to identify your sexual orientation, you are a homosexual. It allows you a raft of protections.
2. Then you say to the professor “Do you mean I would not be allowed to refer to my husband. Is it because I am gay?”
3. If she stands her ground, you report her as a Repressive.

The professor sounds homophobic and should be confronted by the rainbow crowd. I knew a lesbian lawyer who would refer to her wife. I don’t think that she would be amused by this twerp.
Degrees (minor or otherwise) in “Innovation”, “Leisure Studies”, “Afro-American Lifestyles” etc. will qualify you for employment with McDonalds, Burger King, Piggly Wiggly, WalMart...

University of Florida is a state school. 1st Amendment protections apply.
Use the “forbidden” terms. When she marks down grades file a lawsuit against the school on Constitutional and civil rights grounds. Watch as the University runs from her like a scalded dog and begs to settle the suit fir as low a $$$ amount as possible.
