There's been a boom in driver's licenses issued to immigrants here illegally
LA Times ^ | 2/8/2016 | Tatiana Sanchez

Judith Benitez had gone most of her adult life without knowing how to drive.

The 35-year-old woman from Mexico who is in the U.S. illegally would ask family members for rides to pick up her children from school. Trips to the grocery store or the doctor's office were complicated.

That changed last year when Assembly Bill 60 was implemented, granting people in the country illegally the right to obtain driver's licenses in California. Benitez, who lives in Lemon Grove, learned to drive and was among those in line at the Department of Motor Vehicles the day the law took effect.

Okay. Now, Mr. L.A. Times editor, were the licenses issued illegally to folks in California? Or were they leally issued to “immigrants” who are “here” illegally. It is not clear. It is also unusual to see words like “here” used outside of quotations in headlines.

Why is the headline worded this way? I opine that it is because the newspaper wanted to use the term “illegal immigrant”, and “undocumented immigrant” makes no sense, as the headline could then read “Record Number of Documents Issued to Undocumented Immigarnts”, which is both unreadable, and oxymoronic.

The Clinton Crime Family was brilliant when they slipped Motor Voter through their first year in power.

They get around it in Minnesota by getting insurance for the transaction in which they need proof of insurance then cancel it the next day.

Then the insurance companies aren’t doing their jobs. The insurances companies need to monitor all who cancel and report them to the State. Then the DL should be cancelled and put in a registry accessible to the police. And I am usually NOT for more Government intervention, but this sounds like the only way the insurance requirement could work.

"which they need proof of insurance then cancel it the next day."

It's why there's been dozens of these "The General" "Vern Fonk" type joints opening up that sell it by the month.

Send ICE to the DMV. Send them back to their home country when they apply for the license.

... but I guess that would only have happened before we entered the Bizarro world of extreme Leftist political control

Do the licenses of illegals look any different than the license for citizens?

Hahahaha. Laws are for SUCKERS, or Citizens (but, I repeat myself).

But YOU leave the scene of an accident, drive w/out insurance, have a fine for an ex-library book....

Here we have City govt aiding and abetting ILLEGAL activity...with NO repercussions. State enforcement? No, in cahoots! Fed? Blind as a bat. Congress?
