Erdogan: US should choose between Turkey, Kurdish forces

ANKARA, Turkey — Turkey’s president lashed out at the United States a week after President Barack Obama’s envoy visited a northern Syrian town that is under the control of Syrian Kurdish forces, which Ankara considers terrorists.
In comments published Sunday, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Washington should choose between Turkey and the Kurdish Democratic Union Party, or PYD, as its partner.
That came after envoy Brett McGurk’s visit to Kobani, where the PYD’s military wing, aided by U.S.-led airstrikes, drove back Islamic State militants a year ago. Turkey considers the PYD a terrorist group because of its affiliation with Turkey’s outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK.
Erdogan said: “How can we trust you? Is it me that is your partner or is it the terrorists in Kobani?â€

Well, I for one remember when our so-called NATO Allie Turkey refused to allow US soldiers crossing Turkish air space when going after Saddam Husein’s Army. Now these Muslim filth can ‘kiss it’ where the sun don’t shine.

I vote Kurds, they protect their minorities. If these Syrians were worth protecting the Kurds would open the doors to them. I’m sure Putin will support them with military aid. Screw Turdogan.
He has done the minimum arming for the Kurds. Pretended to support them when forced to, or be embarrassed by public ridicule.
Right. Christians also get no help. But ISIS is using US arms and driving Toyota’s paid for also by the US. Their Iranian rivals are also being financed and allowed to develop nukes. At the same time he arms Israel. It is like you wrote, he arms some because politically he is forced to in order to cover up who he really supports. But it is not hard to tell who he is really for: look who gets nukes. It is like he wants to start WWIII and he has chosen a favorite and stacked things in their favor.
